"Dr.Cotter is horrible, he accidently broke my water while stripping my membranes which he didn't even ask to do, then acted like he did nothing wrong!!! I had a 58hr long labor and my poor baby came out with a fever and struggling!! I hope he resigns before he kills someone! Also, I reported him and the facility. I will not stop reporting him to the board!"

"I met with Dr. Eric Wychoff to discuss a salpingectomy, and he was incredibly misogynistic and dismissive the entire appointment. He suggested that my fiancé was not being honest with me about not wanting kids, as he was not deciding to get a vasectomy. He also indicated that my age and lack of previous pregnancies were a “risk factor” and suggested that this is a decision I would regret in the future, instead of listening to the multitude of reasons I had for wanting this surgery. Upon hearing that I had been diagnosed with anxiety and depression, he requested a letter from my psychiatrist stating that I am of sound mind to be making my own medical decision. Given the current political climate of Florida towards reproductive health, I felt that Dr. Wychoff was not taking my concerns seriously and regret ever making the appointment. I have tried to call their office multiple times to speak with their practice manager regarding my concerns and have been unable to get through to anyone. If you are a young woman in Gainesville looking for compassionate reproductive health care, I recommend that you avoid this practice. Edit: I did wind up getting the surgery, and am recovering well."

"I’ve really enjoyed their office. Very professional and kind. I chose to see Dr. Cotter, he is very nice and will usually crack a joke or two with you :) very knowledgeable and remembers your medical history which makes it nice when he is answering questions. The real MVP is Lisa their Ultrasound Tech! Her room is comfortable and happy. Makes the experience light and fun- I saw Lisa on my first appointment and again at 20 weeks and I wish I could do every ultrasound with her!"

"I saw Dr. Walsh throughout my entire pregnancy and I couldn't have been happier with my OB appointments, labor, and delivery! She is very personable, listened to my concerns and is very easy to talk to. I had a small complication and I trusted her advice 100 percent. The staff, especially her nurse, is always very cheerful and sweet! I didn't have a single negative experience with any of them. I also saw Dr. Deen a couple times and she was great also! The office is clean and comfortable and billing was able to work around my crazy insurance situation. Overall I had a great experience and would recommend Gainesville OBGYN to anyone."
