"My father inlaw goes to the hospital because he was having stroke like symptoms they ingore that an order a CT instead of MRI even tho we told them that MRI is how we fount out about his first stroke! Doctor finally orders a MRI 3 days after the fact because my father in law can't move his right arm! Gave us so much run around kept forgetting about him finally 6days after the fact they get the MRI done! Don't even trust the ICU nurses, my father in law told his nurse he pooped himself an needed a bath 10:20 she said I'll be right back 1240 she pops her head back in ask if someone has come by! My father in law sat in his poo for almost 2hrs! Also when he asked for water he would go 1hr to 2 with out water because the nurse got side tracked or something. WORST HOSPITAL EVER!"

"On January 19, 2024 I had a major heart attack and was life flighted to Shands cardio and vascular, When I got there, they rushed me into the Cath Lab and put two stents in one of my main arteries that was 100% blocked, I also had two other arteries that were 75% blocked each, I will be going in today, Monday, January 22, 2024 to have another stent put in one if not both of the clogged arteries , There is no way to express my gratitude to the doctors and nurses for what they have done to save my life, everyone from the ambulance, fire department, trauma, one helicopter, and every single person I have come in contact with at this portion of the hospital have been absolutely awesome always walking in the room with a smile, there’s not one thing I can say negative about my treatment here, Dr. Anderson save my life with unclogging my first artery, when I was moved up on the seventh floor I had Trish, Melissa, Jed and Holly as my RN, these people were absolutely a breath of fresh air, even house keeping, always a smile and respectful, I just want to tell all of y’all thank you from the bottom of my heart. "Only real complaint I have is I wasn't rolled out in a wheelchair. Instead they discharged me to walk out the hospital with no help. And I felt I still needed it especially after being there a few days. And I was still weak and I could of fallen. So I was handed my discharge papers and walked out to my ride. Oh one last thing there was a diabetes doctor there who was explaining things to me. But in some of his words he was using profane language. Not rudely but just casual. I didn't think nothing of it because I really didn't know what to say."

"2 months ago, I contacted COVID. I was extremely ill and had an ambulance take me to Shands. I was taken back to emergency upon my arrival. I saw a doctor within minutes. They did all their test and 6 hrs later, I was in a private room. I was there for 4 days."

"Do not go thinking that like hospitals in your area, there will be any wheelchairs available for use. We arrived and zero at valet, zero at information desk (which also did not have an attendant), and zero in ward we needed to go. Calling from self serve at phone at reception desk trying to obtain a wheelchair, cutoff on two separate occasions. When we finally got an operative at the desk they weren't sure where to call to get a wheelchair... At the front desk! Told them "transport" which I had connected to twice from self serve phone. Told they requested, but could not provide any timeline of when we would obtain one. Finally got one on our own accord at the valet station from a departing patient, and that one was running on the rims! Tires completely worn off. Come on Shands. You're better than this! Aren't you?"
