"I'm taking my positive review back and am now giving 2 stars. Most of the girls form cliques and ostracize you if you aren't fake and saying "yyaaaass" and "slaaaay" every minute. I've gotten sized many times. Mean girl vibes. I never felt like I belonged nor did I feel welcomed. It's always the places that say they're about love and positivity, when they're not that at all. I'm giving an extra star because some of the instructors are beyond amazing. Jasmine, the franchise owner has made membership cancelation a nightmare. She only canceled after I got HQ involved. It took a whole month to cancel. She has no excuses. I initially emailed her about cancelation. She made an attempt to pretend to care and get me to stay at a place I wasn't happy to be at. I told her about some of the negative experiences I went through while at Diva Dance that I still wanted to cancel and that's when she started ignoring me, she never cared in the first place. Sent her a follow up email, that too was ignored. Had an instructor talk to her and she made the excuse of being busy with Diva Dance Slaycation, which is funny to me because Slaycation was a whole week after I told her about cancelation. I was told that she was aware that I wanted to cancel and would do so before my next billing date... that wasn't true in the slightest. Low and behold, two weeks later after Slaycation ended and she still didn't cancel my membership. Mind you, this whole ignoring me thing lasted for nearly a whole month and very close to my next bill. She has no excuse. Reminds me of those gyms that won't let you cancel because they want to keep your money. I reached out to HQ 2 days before my bill and she finally canceled my membership the next day. Isn't that funny? All those emails and texts she ignored from me but she can read a message from HQ. She hasn't responded to me or anything. She just quietly canceled my membership. I guess she thought I was going to just sit there and let her take my money? Just got an email from her as I'm writing this, now asking to talk. There's nothing to talk about, anyway. It's too late for damage control. It's funny that she can now see and respond to my texts and emails after I got HQ involved. Diva dance is supposedly about confidence, teamwork, etc but it's all a facade and no one seems genuinely kind or nice. I almost fainted during a class and no one asked me if I was okay, instead I got eyerolls and an "uh uh" with an attitude. Only staff checked on me. I'm not coming back."

"I enjoy a good cardio workout. It is fun when you get to dance with a community of ladies cheering you on. Another advantage is being a Platinum Member. Members only Paint N Sip which I attended last Friday 2 February 2024. "On a whim, I booked a class for my sis and I, as I wanted to do something fun while she was in town, and we both are long "retired" from our ballet days. After comparing similar businesses, I ended up with Diva Dance as I really liked the concept that the classes and routines were formed based on the song. The choreography did not disappoint. However, the best part was the powerful sense of community led by instructors and lived by all the Divas. This is no ordinary dance class. It really is for people of all levels and there are plenty of ways to personalize your dance moves to let your personality shine and your feedback really makes a difference in shaping upcoming classes! I was hooked right away and happy to be a new member! Just an unbelievable experience with welcoming people! No one is a stranger at Diva Dance!"

"Most of the staff is great. I just wrapped up my first video shoot and I can’t even put into words how amazing and incredible the experience was throughout and up to filming! It doesn’t matter your size, your color if you want to dance and get some cardio and have fun, don’t hesitate a second longer to check out Diva Dance. Maybe I just don’t fit with everyone, but I don’t feel a true sense of community. Maybe your experience won’t be the same, so still check them out. My review wasn’t even responded to when originally posted with 5 stars a few weeks ago. Hence why I don’t feel like I fit in when I’ve tried really hard."
