"In town for a couple days and had the pleasure of dropping in here. I don’t have any other affiliation with them so this is as unbiased as it can get, I’ve trained at gyms all over the US, including world famous gyms, and this one of the best gyms I’ve visited. Leo is a great coach(showed me a sweet sweep from a position I know really well, that I’d never seen before. Wasn’t part of the curriculum, but he just observed that I had a hole in my game and showed me), he’s got great students, and I can tell he is very invested in his students, it’s a newer gym, and I think he will end up building a very dominant team. the facility is beautiful, super clean and modern. I also briefly saw him teach a kids class, and the kids all looked like they were having a blast, in a safe, positive environment. Absolutely give this gym a go! Seriously I cannot stress this enough, I’ve got family in the area who want to get into training, and I’m taking them here."

"Such a great place! As a BJJ family that has moved a lot, we have gone to many gyms. This one stands at as one of the very best. My 7 yo son and 10 yo daughter both do the jui jitsu and kickboxing classes. The instructors are top notch. Marcos, Leo and Coral are fantastic at what they do. Its a family here. My husband does the BJJ, competition classes and private lessons. We're here multiple times a week!"

"Wonderful martial arts studio! I brought my son in for a free trial class and never looked back. The classes are fun and structured, with great coaches! They also offer daytime classes for kids who homeschool, so it fits our schedule much better than most after school activities."

"I tried a few gyms in the area before I decided Ground Control was the best BJJ school in the area for me. The gym is clean and all of the students and staff are very friendly and welcoming. The membership price is a good deal if you put the work in and show up. They offer a variety of striking classes which seem great for kids and adults alike, but I am only interested BJJ so I can only speak to that. Professor Leo is a fantastic Jiu-Jitsu instructor. One of the first things we spoke about were my goals in training, which for me was exercise and potentially competing, other places didn’t ask me about my goals during trial classes. Professor Leo has competed in many tournaments and he brings a lot of great experience and advice to the mat. I’ve watched videos of him in competition on YouTube and he’s the real deal, win or lose. He has a great teaching style and takes time to observe every student during drills. As said before, the staff are super friendly and welcoming. The other students are amazing, it’s a really great group of men and women. Great communication among everyone, and no egos here. If I didn’t have to move, I would keep attending this school for a very long time."
