"HIGHLY RECOMMEND! My daughter started fencing about 7 months ago with Coach Pavel. We did a trial class initially and I could tell right away that his coaching style was exactly what she needed. He is very direct, does not let her get away with not paying attention, but he makes it fun with warm ups and games. The kids don't even realize that they are working on skills...they just think they are playing games, but the parents are watching and know exactly what Coach Pavel is doing - he has really mastered his craft of coaching kids. He is excellent with the little ones all the way up to adults. Very professional, knows his sport and knows how to get the kids moving. Truly, I cannot say enough good things about him. She gets an excellent work out during class and he encourages running outside of class to train as well. My child, who would refuse to run if we asked her to, wants to make sure she makes her coach proud. She respects him, which I think speaks volumes. She can now run 2.5 miles with a smile on her face. We didn't know anything about fencing prior to signing up, but after trying multiple sports that were not "her thing" over the years, she has finally found a sport that excites her!"
