I went in terrified.... came out...HOOKED and this has been LIFE changing for me!!! JP is a wonderful instructor who give you hard lines that will keep you alive and confidence to do it!!! "I just completed the PADI open water certification program offered by SCUBA Outfitters. I cannot recommend it strongly enough. I would not have pursued certification if it weren’t for my girlfriend encouraging me; she has been SCUBA certified for 30 years. I have great respect for the water, that sometimes crosses over into fear. Theresa, a co-owner of SCUBA Outfitters, was our instructor (my girlfriend participated for a refresher). Theresa was fantastic. She is extremely knowledgeable, but also respectful of my fear related to breathing through a device deep underwater. We signed up for private lessons with Theresa. She came to our home for the pool work, but then also invited me to participate in the group time at the YMCA pool. She met us in Key Largo for the open water dives at Elbow Reef, and in the lagoon at Key Largo because of rough seas at the reef on day two. In addition to working with Theresa, we had help from the other owner of the shop, Mike, and staff members Kat, Rachel, and JP. Everyone at SCUBA Outfitters was knowledgeable, helpful, and encouraging. If you have any interest in SCUBA, you should talk with the folks at SCUBA Outfitters. They are just great."
