"I didn’t have any issues until I brought my daughter in and told them I think she might have a uti because she’s having foul smelling pee & crying a lot and was told “she looks happy and active, I don’t want to do the catheter because I don’t really suspect a uti. She’s perfectly healthy” 3 days later I had to rush my daughter to the emergency room with a fever of 104 degrees, her shaking and purple lips, hands and feet all to find out I was right, my daughter did have a UTI and it spread to her kidneys from being untreated and she was admitted in the hospital for 2 days. Kidney infections are deadly and so are 104 degree fevers for a 7 month old. To think it could have been avoided if the dr listened to their patient is crazy and so sad for my baby. She ended up having to do a catheter, lots of blood work, X-ray & ultrasound all because her doctor didn’t want to do a catheter."
"This practice is fantastic I have two kids ages five and a 9-month-old and they are always available to help answer questions get my children in for same day sick and just all around great staff great doctors It definitely feels like a family."
"My daughter has been seeing her Dr. For 2 & half years. We love her Dr. Dr. Coombs-bynum. She is an amazing Dr, words can't describe how much she cares and listens. Can't wait for my daughters next check up. There staff are friendly and it's nice to go there."
"I have been with this practice for as long as my twins have been alive (2.5 years). We love our Doctor (Dr.D'Alessandro), and she is literally why we have stuck with PPC. I normally never have an issue with getting a same day sick appt or at the very least a next day sick appointment. Today, I called at 12:30pm to hopefully make an appt for my child that I believe has a severe ear infection. Amanda told me that all appts for all locations were booked by 9am this morning and my options were to schedule for tomorrow or she referred me to an urgent care facility or an ER. I, of course did not like that answer as my child is in pain and I let her know that, and continued on to my other options. After speaking with Teladoc, I could not be helped as they could not see inside my child's ear without a device (totally understandable). I called a couple of urgent cares and this option was also not our family's solution. I called back, and got Amanda again. I asked for the soonest appointment or possibly a spot on a waitlist to which she responded that they "don't do waitlists" and they don't pre book appointments. This made no sense to me as she told me on our prior conversation that my child could be booked for tomorrow. She asked what was going on, I explained and reminded her we talked before and she assisted me with getting an appointment for tomorrow (10/24/2023). I thanked her and asked if I could leave a message with my PCP, and she asked what the message was. I told her I wanted to express my disappointment with not being able to get in today and that maybe this scenario could bring an opportunity to enhance the service that PPC Pediatrics provides. Clearly there is a demand for appointments, and I wanted to let my service provider know. She then proceeded to fight with me for 5 minutes about the fact that she reiterated several times that the appointments and availability that I am accustomed to booked out early today. I understood that, and still wanted to relay this message to my PCP so that maybe in the future when a scenario like this arises, PPC Pediatrics might be able to better meet the demand. After the continued argument, I simply asked Amanda if she would or would not send the message to which she responded yes. My complaint is- as a business, PPC Pediatrics should at a minimum provide quality customer care regardless of appointment availability. Amanda offered no understanding, she did not go above and beyond to help me to simply relay a message to my provider without arguing with me or explain if maybe I misunderstood the process of submitting complaints such as that one. I LOVE the care we get 99% of the time, regardless if we have to wait 5 mins or 50 mins to be seen. I think that PPC Pediatrics can do better in the customer service that it provides to its customers , and hopefully they will. Hopefully this helps someone else in the future!"
"After years of being disappointed in PPC pediatrics - ( and PPC as a whole ) I finally have had enough and will be looking elsewhere First time today seeing Dr. Martin &wow ! she was extremely condescending and rude for absolutely no reason. She made me feel stupid for taking my son in for newly tics he just started ( and I wasn’t sure what it was ) AND while I was there I just wanted her to check his ears cause he’s been complaining of the one hurting. She really made me feel like a bother and that I was crazy & that tics are just no big deal. Imagine being a mom who notices their child doing something weird suddenly and not addressing it ? No thanks ! Not me. I’m not that mom. Back when I was pregnant with him I went to PPC OBYN and they also made me feel like a bother & stupid. Because of how they treated me I was afraid to reach out because I felt crazy. I wound up giving birth to my son 11 weeks early. It could have been avoided if they listened to me & made me feel valid in my concerns. They were always annoyed and made you feel like a bother JUST LIKE PPC pediatrics does & especially Dr. Martin. Dr. Martin is the type of doctor to do this to her patients- make them feel invalid & dumb for coming in. Shame on her. Her god complex is going to cause something with another kid to be missed & god forbid that does happen - I hope she gets sued big time.. We will be definitely be looking elsewhere moving forward."
