"I can’t say enough about Dr Smith! He truly listens to what is important to you. Then with careful thought he gives advice on the best way to navigate for you. He is empathetic and caring with a very calming approach. I had DCIS and we decided on a lumpectomy. Unfortunately the MRI and mammogram did not show all the cancer and I ended up needing to get 3 surgeries. After the 2nd surgery, 3 out of 4 quadrants were negative. At that point Dr Smith was leaning towards using radiation. However, I told him my concerns about radiation and after a long conversation, we decided to try 1 more time to get the margin. I am so glad we did. I am cancer free!! His surgical skills are exemplary. . He had to enter 3 times at my areola and it looks amazing. You can barely see the scar! The shape of my breast is perfect.
