"I LOVE THE TEAM HERE! VERY EFFICENT!"
"Totally unprofessional people at the window, they are rude and don’t care about patients. The waiting room is always full, they overbook appointments, waiting time is more than two hrs. I didn’t even get to see the Dr, I left, would never go back"
"My primary physician sent me to him. I was reluctant he wasn't affiliated with Baptist and like others, never had confidence of any type with Kendall Regional Hospital. He had me undergo a bone marrow biopsy because he I was diagnosed with anemia. Really, was all that horrific pain necessary for anemia? Moving oni called the office for some sort of"
"My dad has a mass in his pancreas. It was seen during a routine check up. His primary Doctor sent him to Dr. Xiques. Dr. Xiques, ordered a port for chemo prior to knowing the type of tumor my dad had. Without knowing if it was malignant or not. He was planning to start chemo prior to the biopsy. My dad is 87. After insisting on a biopsy it was ordered and again they wanted to insert a chemo port without the results. Who does that? Once the results came back malignant, we assume. Dr. Xiques ordered the port. My dad waited at the surgical place all day to find out that the orders for the port were not accurate from Dr. Xiques office. The port was not inserted. A blessing in disguise. We called on Monday to see what happened and the receptionist only said that the Doctor doesn’t take calls nor make calls when available. I understand that she was a receptionist. However, she should know how poorly that reflects on the office and Doctor. My dad never found out what he actually had. Nor what options if any on treating him tumor. The Doctor did not give him any relevant information other than go here and get a port. At 87 you need patience and empathy with you patients in explaining what will be happening and what he has. I quickly realized I had to find a new oncologist the best oncologist in Miami. So I did. I do not wish this on anybody. It’s inhuman to treat a patient like this. Find a great oncologist for you loved one."
"This review reflects similar ones on other sites. Dr. Sergio Xiques was the recommended specialists for my mother’s breast cancer. The diagnosis was unexpected- cancer is not in our family and we were scared. I cancelled my vacation and flew to Miami so we could figure out the next steps. The services provided by Dr. Xiques were poor; he focused on politics and failed to explain treatment services. After waiting for almost two hours our appointment with Dr. Xiques was the worst medical experience of our lives. Dr. Xiques could not stop focusing on the fact I was a federal employee. He stopped the consultation with my mother to inform me that federal employees were useless and they were wasting money. Of course, I was the exception. This was hypocritical and surprising since he accepts Medicare, is a supporter of the former federal government’s embargo on Cuba, and a supporter of the Miami Marlins - a team that used public taxes to build a stadium in Downtown Miami. After losing focus, he wrote prescriptions tossed them at mother like dollar bills at a strip club and with little explanation, did not explain the disease and only touched upon the chemo regimen because we asked. I cannot recommend Dr. Sergio Xiques. His atrocious bedside manner, untidy office, and his lack health explanations makes me question his ability to treat patients properly."
