Dr. Fadi Abu Shahin - Florida Gynecologic Oncology

"Dr. Abu Shahin is awesome. He is very thorough and organized. On my first visit, surgery was scheduled, and I met with the nurse and the financial person. Had I written this review then, it would have been a 5. Dr. Abu Shahin gets a 5 all the way around right through to surgery. The office/nursing/billing staff and misinformation given and lack of response is another story and the reason I dropped this down to a 2. I called to find out about my lab results after 3 weeks. The nurse I was originally assigned was out of the office. They had me leave a message for another nurse. 3 business days later no response. I called to speak to someone regarding billing as they have an overpayment on my account that needs to be transferred to the hospital. I was told I could only talk the the original financial person I spoke with who is out until Monday and there was no other person who does billing. I called back today and was told she was still out of the office but there is a billing manager. Apparently, they just hired one over the weekend. NOT! We shall see what happens. I have taken notes and will share this with the Dr on my follow-up visit next week. I was so impressed with how the office was run on my initial visit. Not so much anymore. Sad that this will be the story I tell if anyone brings up his office."

"Dr. Abu Shahin is a great doctor, from the first visit he made me feel comfortable and always answers all of my questions. He always took the time to explain to me each examination. When I decided to get a procedure done, he carefully explained the process and risks of the procedure. I was so happy on the day of the procedure when he walked in to the room and explained everything again, even asked my husband and my mother if they had any questions. If you need a Gynecological Oncologist please go see Dr. Abu Shahin, you will love him."

"Dr. Abu Shahin is an excellent doctor. On my first visit, he took time to explain all my options in detail and the success rate of each. On the day of surgery, he again explained the procedure and made me feel very confident in my choice of doctors. Just had my post-op appointment, which went very well. He reviewed the pathology report so I could understand everything. Dr. Abu Shahin is very compassionate and listens to your concerns. If I could give 10 stars, I certainly would have, that goes for the staff at this office as well. Thank you."

"Dr.Shahins reviews were very impressive, but I was skeptical when I read no pain, easy healing etc. well I’m 6 weeks post full hysterectomy and while everyone is different I had no real pain. I didn’t need pain medication and I feel great. I had a second opinion prior to selecting him. The staff at his office and at Gulfcoast hospital were amazing, caring and responsive. Dr. Shahin is very skilled at his craft. Look no further than Dr. Shahin."
