"After a recommendation from my beloved obgyn who no longer does obstetrics I screened this practice as a potential patient. I read the negative reviews mostly about the front office staff. I spoke with a very nice receptionist twice. The OB scheduler however was not personable and dismissed my concerns about wanting to be seen sooner due to fertility issues in the past. She stated "there's really nothing we can do before that point". Actually that's not true I'm currently under the care of a fertility specialist and receiving care and medication. I easily scheduled an appointment with another practice 2 weeks sooner. I believe I dodged the bullet. As a healthcare worker I know what population I work best with, I'm sure obstetrics is difficult but I believe that you have to have the right personality for the population you serve. I also believe that the OB coordinator could have easily said "let me check with the doctor to see if with your history we can accommodate you sooner"."

"LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS !! Came here only because my old Gyno doesn't accept my current insurance and I'm not going to have insurance next year so I had to get in somewhere and this was the only place that had availablily for an annual wellness exam. It took forever to be seen by Dr. Bernstein and then when she finally came in for my exam she had an attitude and was super condescending/judgemental the whole time. I'm not on birth control because I've had horrible reactions to different kinds and always get taken off because of the side effects.Even after making her aware of this she would not stop pushing, trying to get me to take a specific type of birth control, even after I said NO multiple times. After that she decided to lecture me about all the downsides to not taking it and continued on how I should just take the birth control. Then she proceeded to do my annual and it was the worst, most painful pap I've ever had. I was spotting for days after, in a lot of pain and discomfort.Then with some other symptoms I described she ordered some tests. I went and got one of the tests done and she didn't even call me with the results, she had Anna (the person who makes the appointments) give me my results! When I was asking Anna some questions about my results she was LAUGHING and couldn't answer my questions, and told me to Google it ?! How useless and disrespectful! By far the worst gynecologist I've ever been to."

"After seeing 2 different GYN doctors of which I felt were not what I was looking for in terms of all around care, I found Dr. Bernstein and couldn't be happier. She is one of the most caring individuals you can ever meet. She listens to your concerns to help you make the best decisions for your health and fully answers and addresses questions or concerns. Her staff makes you feel welcome and they have been as accommodating as they can be with making appointments. I highly recommend Dr. Bernstein!"
