"Since starting work at UF over two years ago, I have had nothing but disappointing experiences with TAPS. They do not have proper signage in their garages/lots that explain to the users where to park. I received a citation in January for parking illegally in a space that was not marked in an allowed garage according to the parking map. Unbeknownst to me until I received the citation and reached out to TAPS, I have to go all the way up to the roof (in a garage that wasn't nearly full) on a 5-floor garage for there to be any type of signage to explain where I can park. I appealed this and it took weeks, perhaps months for them to respond. They reduced it to a smaller amount and I paid the fee. However, I followed up TWICE since then asking them to put proper signage somewhere else in the garage explaining to go to the roof for "green decal" users. Nothing was done and I was not followed up with. Recently, I renewed my decal for this upcoming year. I was not informed anything would be different about my parking situation. It wasn't until a co-worker told me that I could no longer park in the garage I have parked at for a year. The only reason she knew is because she called TAPS when she couldn't find any parking and the signage was taken down. Now, the only place we are allowed to park is .9 miles from our workplace. This is extremely frustrating. I'm disappointed in TAPS and tired of stressing about if I will have a place to park, especially when I already pay $100s to park where I work. This is a disgusting and greedy system that takes advantage of it's users. I feel sorry for those that work the counter as they are generally kind. **Edit** Since writing this review, TAPS responded to my complaints offering to waive the exchange fee should I decide to upgrade my decal. The same day I received that e-mail, I left work to find a citation on my car for "displaying an expired pass". I park in an "Any Decal" lot and my husband renewed my pass a month ago and we have the proof of doing so. There are no other decals displayed. TAPS, you need a better system. This is too much of a hassle for parking at my place of work (or technically .7 miles from it)."
"If you’re an undergrad have fun being sanctioned off to the corner of campus. I mistakenly thought that getting a parking pass would allow me to park somewhere remotely near my classes. Turns out they just put all the undergrad parking by southwest rec (have fun finding parking btw) and make you take their abysmal bus system to get to any part of campus that isn’t the agricultural sciences / microbiology department. Its a complete scam that they make you pay the same amount as grad students who have actual access to spots and parking garages much closer to the main campus and even then those spots are very limited. Honesty unbelievable how little effort UF puts into managing parking."
"Ive paid these people over $1000 during my time at UF. They are never held accountable for their mistakes. A lot of what they do is probably illegal but because they prey on students nobody really does anything. Appeals take weeks to get a response and if they dont accept you get a very short window to make a second level appeal. At that point if you arent checking your email you will forfeit the right to appeal completely. The entire process is completely corrupt. Additionally the website goes down every now and then. A big problem this year is allowing people to buy parking on frat row without informing them that everyone on campus can now also park on frat row so there are often no parking spots when there previously were."
"I am a current staff member and former student at UF. I have had horrible experiences with TAPS in both capacities. It is ridiculous that UF forces staff to pay for a parking decal at their place of business. A semester-length parking decal costs 6 times my hourly wage, so in paying for a decal I have essentially given UF 6 hours of free labor. The whole thing is such a scam. The staff is unhelpful and has never accepted citation appeals in my experience. If you can avoid parking on campus and interacting with TAPS, please do."
"Headlinerz has got to be hands down one of the best spots in Ocala! Cuts. Color. Fades. Braids. Locs. Hair DeTox."
