"Terrible experience. I am new to FL and urgently needed to be seen bc I found out I was pregnant while on the depot birth control shot 5 months prior. Long story short, I was seeing Dr. Franco and in person she seems nice, beginning, but I had and still have severe anxiety and emotional distress including my hypertension, also had covid last month and just feeling so overwhelmed. Dr. Franco seen me cry and I explained how I almost got an abortion but decided I couldn't do that. I had a change of heart. So Dr. Franco referred me to counseling and/or a psychiatrist. Well since I am pregnant, the psychiatrist she provided said no to me that they only prescribe medicine but since I'm pregnant they couldn't see or help me. I tried counseling but wasn't available right away - told Dr. Franco what I was facing...I asked her to please fill out Leave Of Absense to help me cope with finding treatment. I've been overwhelmed emotionally and she literally told me the nurse would fill it out. She then refused abs said my anxiety and depression was not a reason I couldn't work lol since when does my mental health not matter and my blood pressure in her office yesterday was in the 200! She lost all my respect at this point. I poured my heart into trusting a new doctor and I was feel so ashamed I even asked the office manager to call me. Not only did the OB Nurse put me on speaker phone as I was so upset that Dr. Franco didn't care about my mental health.. they literally wasted a whole week when I need my fmla just to cover me two weeks off from work. I've been employed with my job for 4 years. It's extremely sad that this was the only outlet I had to get help and she failed to allow me as a patient to find treatment for my mental health. She for some reason said I could only have 5 days off for my covid but that was Jan 9th....why does this doctor think my covid has anything to do with my request for fmla when I saw her Feb 3rd my first time? She gave me my first referral Feb 3rd. Covid had nothing to do with anything. I feel like she was really discriminating. If I lose my job because of this failed doctor. I will do what I can to sue. Nobody, pregnant or not, should be treated as if mental health is not a reason to take a little time off, and get help. I am new to FL. I have no doctors other than dry Franco. I am waiting to hear from the office manager. Also the OB nurse should've never put my call on speaker without advising me. She said she had to put the phone down to write a note. She then said she put me on speaker and lied lol. Please don't come to this office if you want quality over quantity. They are extremely outnumbered with heavy patient traffic. Yesterday, I was there from 3pm to 7pm. They even asked for a release form from my psychiatrist in AZ. Why the hell not help me get treatment in FL but to ask for that...extremely disappointed this lady is even a doctor to such precious patients who are pregnant and I am a strong woman but I am fragile since I'm pregnant my emotions and the stress I'm facing feels so unbalanced. Plesse do NOT use this doctor. Extremely disappointed."
