"We thought Spring Hill Pediatric Care was a really good place for our children. Dr. Sampang was cool and the nurses were very nice and compassionate. When our youngest son was born, the staff at the front desk were harassing my wife at every visit that his first name didn’t appear in their system. We had Tiara from Medicaid on a three-way call with Jacqueline from billing that Medicaid has his full name in their system and that she has to call the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) to fix it, Jacqueline replied it’s not her job to call anyone with nasty attitude. The rep from Medicaid was embarrassed and felt sorry for us with how we were treated. We made a complaint to nurse practitioner Katy the following day and nothing happened. This happened on October 3rd 2023. Last Friday October 13th 2023, our two son’s had their check up appointments. Dr. Sampang told us at the end of the appointment, that ChampVA is not paying them, which is a total lie! He said he had to dismiss families that had Tricare & ChampVA. They asked us to drop ChampVA. Obviously we are not dropping our va insurance. The problem is Jacqueline from billing, she doesn’t want to do her job. She feels she doesn’t need to call other healthcare insurances or anyone period; she expects the parents to do her job. We called ChampVA and they said that billing department of Spring Hill Pediatric Care has to enroll to the Department of Treasury to get paid electronically. My wife walked back inside while having on speaker a ChampVA representative to clear up the issue and Dr. Sampang’s staff including Jacqueline from billing got defensive. Jacqueline was just sitting there and said she was too busy. ChampVA rep explained that they need to enroll to the Department of Treasury and they refused to enroll. We have the confirmation number from ChampVA of what was said. Dr. Sampang completely lied to our face. The staff runs the Spring Hill Pediatric Care, not Dr. Sampang. Dr. Sampang cares more what the staff feels than being more concerned for his patients and parents. Dr. Sampang barely did a checkup with our 17 month old toddler and our 2 month old baby. Our children didn’t deserve this unprofessional childish behavior from Spring Hill Pediatric Care!"

"I couldn't recommend them enough. I went thru 2 terrible experiences from other pediatric offices in Hernando County prior to finding them. Dr. Sampang is just amazing. They always get me in ASAP when my kiddo is sick. Very sweet staff and clean office. I drive 40 minutes just so I can continue bringing her there."

Barbara brings us back to a room and is so kind, patient and caring with our kids. Dr Sampang and his NP, Katie, take their time with us and never make us feel uncomfortable asking too many (or maybe even dumb) questions. We feel listened to and appreciated every time we are there. With this office you have a voice and you are in charge of your child's health. You won't be shamed or punished if you say no to something you don't want, or need more guidance on something you're unsure of. You are always treated with respect here and that means everything to us after experiences we've had elsewhere. Thank you Dr. Sampang, Katie and SHPC!"
