"The doctors don't really know what they're doing. There is only one doctor in the office per day, and on a rotating schedule. The doctors do not communicate with each other nor with you. They do not call to follow up on your lab results, even when they require attention. I've had one send unclear lab orders, so the laboratory quite literally did not know what to test for. Some doctors prescribe medication without telling you why. The doctors seem lost and scatterbrained. At least one is a student (resident), and it shows. The receptionist is polite, but they often lack (or overlook) information in the system. It appears that whoever trained them did a poor job. The good: The office has a sliding scale payment system, and a good phlebotomist. If you have an emergency, the staff will do their best to help you."
"You're trading time for money and you may end up loosing more of both at this place. If you have a cleaning and maybe 1 not 2 fillings or anything else, then try your luck. But, if time is of the essence, don't go here and definitely don't let them drill in your mouth. They did a number on the only tooth they managed to finally get to. I waited months to get a cleaning, then months more to get a filling. I needed a couple. They are grant or government funded, so they have a sliding scale and take all insurance. You will spend six months to a year waiting. They literally fix ONE problem per visit. Not exaggerating. This means your first appointment is not exam, Xrays and cleaning. You do Xrays and the exam and then have to go back for a cleaning. Then, after the cleaning youll have to go back again if you need anything else done. Say your mouth is a mess, then it will stay a mess based on their scheduling. You will literally keep going back for months, a year, years for them to address everything. Each of these appointments can be two months out. If you need a cleaning and a filling, that may take about 4 months. If you need more, you may well wait a year or years for them to do everything, while working with the same set of x-rays not redoing to check if the issue has become more urgent. Oh, and they play around with the schedule too. I waited two months for a filling and showed up at the time given to be told I was late for my appointment and had to come back. Seriously! I did this back and forth game for 7 months. I had an appointment this week. I decided to skip that last appointment. Why, after 7 month? They gave me a filling during my last visit about two months ago, I complained about pain while she was drilling. The numbing stuff didn't numb right. Ive had fillings before, never hurt this much. Now, everytime I use that tooth it hurts. I thought it was a temporary pain after the appointment, but it's been months now. My tooth NEVER hurt before the filling. Don't know what happened, but it NEVER hurt prior. I had another filling appointment this week, but I decided to not exchange my filling for another extraction. Pretty sure that tooth they fixed is headed in that direction now, extraction. Another filling from them, no thank you. Ask anyone who has been here. It's your time or money. I say it may well be both, or more. Make the first appointment if you think I'm exaggerating. My advice, save your money, look for dental ads or coupons in the mail, or anything that helps with the cost. You'll waste alot of time at this place, then maybe a lot of money trying to undo things. Hell, all your teeth may fall out waiting to have them do what you need done. Just find another dentist."
"How can you let Dr Nau go without letting us patient know that she is no longer with you guys. Her work was phenomenal. She gave me a lot of great advice to make sure my health was on point at all times. I am very disappointed with you guys. How can you schedule patients with a new doctor (a resident- a student) - going from a female provider to a male provider without notice is disrespectful- I am the patient and I am being shortchanged and taken for granted. Zero respect for the patient. I will be looking for Dr Nau until I find her"
"ZERO STARS. I visited the dentist for my checkup as a new patient. The lady at the front desk told me to call the insurance company to sort out a location issue, but once I had done that, the security started telling me I couldn't use my phone inside the building. As I continued to explain what had happened to him, he became defensive and began to yell at me. I left without any service and only received disrespect. An absolute waste of time. Very unpleasant experience; I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. DISGUSTING. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL."
"If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The first time I went there, they failed to verify my insurance and I was waiting for two hours and was not seen. At one point I told them I would do the appointment without insurance and they refused, saying it would be illegal. They later apologized for the error and I went back for an X-ray and cleaning, which went fine. They told me I had two cavities and needed two fillings. Prior to going in for the filling, they called two times to let me know it would not be covered by insurance and that it would cost $71. When I got to the appointment, I paid the $71. As I was about to go in for the filling, the front desk told me they got the price wrong and I had to pay an additional $200. I requested a refund and left. I went to another dentist (with great reviews), and Borinquen provided them with my X-rays. It turns out that I did NOT have any cavities and did NOT require fillings. What a scam."
