"This is by far one of the worse offices I have ever had to deal with. They answer and put you hold without saying hello. They're another sweatshop physician group."
"They said come in to meet the doctor. I went in… And was hustled into a small room where they I went in… And was hustled into a small room, where they informed me that they don’t take my insurance I spent the next 3 to 4 hours in a tiny little office with very charming representative who tried to change my insurance, so that I could be seen by the doctor. We were on the phone with their insurance agent who took all the information to change my insurance. They said I could not meet or speak to the doctor until I was officially a patient. I did not want to be officially a patient until I’m at the doctor. I made that very clear prior to arriving. But this young man ( turns out to be completely sales person) has me on the phone with their insurance agent changing my insurance so I could become a patient. It would not let me make the doctor and they did promise me the doctor was a Functional Medicine doctor, but when I got home and was able to research I didn’t find that to be the case, I went back in person because nobody would answer the phone. The place was jammed with people waiting to be seen by the doctor. This definitely felt like a scam. And as far as I can tell the doctor that I was going to be assigned to is not, I repeat, is not a Functional Medicine practitioner, as I was told she was. So now, myself, along with a lot of other negative reviews tells me to stay away. The sales pitch was the only thing excellent. I was there for a doctor not a sales pitch….. disgusting bait and switch. Preying on the elderly.."
"Hallandale office is not a good office three if customer service reps attitudes is deplorable no empathy for seniors, bad attitudes towards some youthful seniors.. you can look at their faces and see they don’t want to be bothered. No common courtesy, . I think doctors are taking on too many patients at one time. There was times I had to wait an hour to see the physician and the appointment was visit seemed to be rushed to be over with.. this last doctor needs an attitude adjustment. Very confrontational. After 13 years there, disappointed. Care not to go back there. I have respect for myself and I have to be the proactive for myself. A person can only take so much mental abuse and lip service because they are in charge. I ne er had problems except for the last two years with the changes of personal they made. Awful, just awful Zc"
"They force you to send to a SPECIALIST of their choice which means to a place where they can save money and the patient gets treatment of third class citizen. I wanted my EYES examined . It was a follow up. They would not let me see the Dr who did my surgeries on previous occasions. They sent me to a place called MEDEYE where I had to wait for 3 hours and finally saw the Rudest Dr. I have come across in my life,"
"My mother has been going to Chen in Hollywood Florida, and things have been ok until now. Two weeks ago she went in because she needed a referral to go to a ophthalmologist. The nurse practitioner took the paper my mother received from the optometrist and told her that they would have it faxed right away. It has been two weeks now and they still have not faxed the referral. They keep telling her that they will call her back and do not. What makes it so bad is my mother can hardly see. She's an avid reader and hasn't been able to read in for the past few months now. I have to read the T.V., to her, and help her with paperwork, and phone calls because she can't see the numbers. These people have made it obvious that they do not know what they are doing. Now she is thinking about going to Conviva instead. All of this just for a referral. I'm a retired agent who sold Medicare for many years, and I am considering filing a complaint with CMS soon if it is not resolved. I can't say if the other Chens have gotten this bad, but I do not recommend the one in Hollywood."
