"Dr. Miguel Aponte is the best physician I've ever come across. He is very educated, wise and personable. He helped me with my ailment and with great explanation. I would recommend him to anyone and I'm very glad to have found him. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
"The worst MD that you can ever see!!!!! Please do not choose this Doctor as your PCP. He is careless, negligent, does not listen to his patient and even worse , he changes your treatment and at the following appointment he says that he has never prescribed that medication to you.!!!! He is also Rude and Intimidating."
"Dr. Miguel Aponte is not only an excellent medicine professional but he is also a great Human being, sincerely concern about the well being of his patiences. These two characteristics are very rare to obtain in one single MD. and he have both. "It is more important to know what sort of person has a disease than to know what sort of disease a person has". Hippocrates"
"This is my primary care doctor, I have only gone to him for a referral to get an IUD 6 weeks after having my baby. When I called to make an appointment to get one the receptionist speaks very little English, which I am Spanish but I don't speak it fluently. The only thing she could tell me was before I get a referral I need to come in and sign a release form for my medical history and once they have my medical history I can make an appointment for the doctor to write me a referral - so I did, about 15 minutes after getting off the phone with her. Then she insist I needed my better health card, I told her I did not have it because when it was sent I was in the process of moving. Although, I had my member ID number which I give everywhere else and it's not a problem. she told me no that she already has that, so while the doctor is speaking to someone who is leaving she tells me she will ask him. I sat on the couch waiting for literally about 45 minutes no exaggeration and finally she asks him. He proceeded to his office and continued to play messenger with the receptionist and I, then once I got her to understand that an IUD isn't a pill she goes "OH YOU DONT NEED A PRESCRIPTION?" she lets the doctor know and he decides he's ready to speak to me, I explained what I needed and he wrote me the referral although he took another 25 minutes to do so and wrote it to a gyno he referred me to even tho I already had multiple midwives at one location (that he called monkeys not real physicians at one point) I'd been going to them my whole pregnancy and one delivered my baby but at that point I didn't care who was placing the IUD I just wanted the referral and get the hell out of there. he said that the doctor he referred me to took better health and when I called he was no longer taking better health unless they were existing patients. I had to drive back for a new one and he just whites out the doctors name and puts the doctor for my office. now I need a referral for a check up at the gynecologist and the receptionist is telling me I need to do the SAME EXACT THING after I'm saying I didn't the last time. I'm really hoping to find a new doctor I can switch to because even though the receptionist is nice it's almost impossible to communicate unless you speak fluent Spanish and I find the doctor to be rather rude, judge mental, and almost gets joy out of complicated a simple situation - but maybe that has something to do with how he told me "doctors don't like to be told what to do.""
"DO NOT trust this doctor. I went in to his office for primary care for my wife. She has chronic Depression and needs a calm understanding, empathetic doctor. She takes anti-depressants prescribed by the hospital due to a previous suicide attempt. As soon as we were seated after 45 minutes of waiting, he proceeded to ridicule my wife for poor life choices (Trusting the hospital over a primary care physician) and told her that she has done little to diagnose and treat her depression (which she has been doing phenomenal on the anti-depressant the hospital prescribed her) All we asked was that he order a presciption for the medicine shes been taking so that she doesn't have to go through a withdrawal from her anti-depressant. (mind you the hospital clearly warns to take smaller doses before completely stopping use) He claimed that the hospital gave her falsified information, and that she shouldnt be feeling any symptoms because there isnt such thing as withdrawal. He said "im not some vending machine you can get prescriptions from" and she slammed the door and ran out of the office in tears. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TREAT SOMEONE WITH DEPRESSION! I've dealt with all walks of life as a Security Officer, But Miguel Aponte is the most Narcissistic, Self Absorbed, Stubborn, Sadistic person I've ever met in my entire life. Please dont trust your health to this doctor, You'll Regret it. Update: we went to the hospital and got fair treatment for my wife, they even recommended her to a Psychiatry clinic that specializes in taking care of her health."
