"When I was sick, Dr. Anna Abel fit me in same day for an office visit. The waiting area is very calming with a friendly staff to great you. I did not wait long to be seen. The whole office and exam room was very clean. Dr. Anna Abel & nurse asked me questions regarding my symptoms and spent the time needed to hear my concerns. I was prescribed the right medications and was feeling back to myself with the next few days. I really appreciate the attentiveness & care provided during my visit."
"I do not recommend this practice. Dr. Abel is hit or miss, however her staff is a complete miss. My mother went to see Dr. Abel and the first time the doctor did not have many questions to ask. The second time she had many questions but the concern felt hollow, since she did not have follow up questions to the problems brought up. Additionally, instead of addressing the issues at the moment it was recommended for my mother to make new individual appointments which equals to more expenditures. Lastly the staff is abhorrent. The two ladies are beyond rude and disrespectful. I have never witnessed this type of behavior from healthcare providers. As providers we should understand that the client is there because they have to, not because they want to be there. This is not a time to argue back because you feel "that it is too early for attitude", "I already told you" when the client asks you, or even complaining about my mother's behavior loudly enough for the other clients to hear. Also, if you are professional you do not need to argue with the client about your professionalism. I am astonished by the lack of empathy and emphasis of being right (having to win the fight) from these two ladies. It is very disappointing."
"I have been with this doctor for years. When she became associated with L.A. Medical Associates the trouble started. Many times she uses their electronic prescription system to fill medications at the pharmacy. Usually they do not get the prescription and I have to go back and forth. Now she ordered a Colorguard kit and stated someone from L.A. Medical Associates would call and they never did. I have a need to be tested promptly. I called them and they said I should receive shortly and I did not. In addition, L.A. Medical Associates uses one number for all offices and it is impossible to get through at times. It is ashame because I like the doctor but the practice is inept. I have been involved as a Hospital Compliance Officer for a major hospital chain and this is not how you treat patients. Shame on L.A. Medical Associates. If you value your life, stay away. Follow up. I drove all the way to the doctors office as I could not get them on the phone. The kit was never ordered. The manager at the facility stated that I should receive the test by next week. If I do I will modify this review. To date no cologuard test kit."
"Do not go to this office. If I could give 0 stars I would. My husband had an appointment at 10am 9/11 its 5pm 9/12 and the blood pressure medication Dr. Abel prescribed hasn't been sent to the pharmacy. I've called four times and confirmed the pharmacy information, and our pharmacy still doesn't have the prescription from the doctor's office. We self-paid for the appointment and truly feel like we should get a refund for such a bad experience. Very unprofessional, if my husband has to go to the hospital due to high blood pressure and negligence from this doctor, I will definitely be getting a lawyer involved, I can't believe it takes 2 days to send a prescription over to the pharmacy. If you want to waste time, money, and have an unprofessional doctor, then this is the perfect place for you. I would also like to add that Dr. Abel was wearing a black mini leather dress to our appointment. I don't really care how you like to dress, but I would think a doctor should wear professional attire (at least wear a doctor's coat) while at work and seeing patients. Update: 9/13 I called again for the 5th time another location answer and left a note for the facility manager Leslie Fernandez. She called within 1 hour. She sent the prescription to the pharmacy (called and checked to make sure it was received). She was able to get us an appointment with another doctor and waved the fee, as we were unhappy with Dr. Abel's services. I will update the rating once we see the new doctor in 2 weeks."
"Dr. Anna Abel was fantastic!! She took her time and did not rush. She is an excellent listener.The practice is impeccably clean. The front desk ladies were totally professional. I would highly recommend Dr.Anna Abel if you need a new primary doctor."
