"People are so quick to jump online when they're upset & leave a negative review. It's a shame, because I know Animal Genetics has thousands of satisfied customers that haven't taken the time to come say something nice about them. I have been working with Animal Genetics for over 10 years and they have by far surpassed any other DNA company in terms of service and turnaround time. It is true that sometimes it is hard to get through on the phone line in the last couple of years, which can be frustrating, but otherwise I am more than happy with their services and company."

"LOVE this company! This is the only lab I use and I've been breeding Goldendoodles since 2010. I have used other labs but this one always gets my results back very quickly. For those who are complaining about how long it takes to get test kits, perhaps some better planning on the part of the owner/breeder is called for? We have used this lab A LOT and never had anything but great customer service. I recommend giving them a chance and also maybe showing some grace as all companies are still dealing with under-staffing and quick turnover rates."

"Look for a different lab! I purchased tests on July 6 and still have not gotten them. I have e-mailed multiple times (no response), called multiple times (never an answer) and even messaged on FB (no response). If you read (as I should have) comments on their FB page, I am not the only one. People are posting that they have waited A YEAR and results are still pending, many people have posted that they have also called and e-mailed to no avail. People are also posting that their testing is SUB SUB-par. Like one lady had color genetics done on her dog. Her results showed that her dog does not have a gene for blue color OR for merle...her dog IS a blue merle. Another posted that suddenly all her baby horses are testing positive for things THIS company tested the parent and grandparents as testing negative. So unless you just want to give them your money and don't actually want a test done, or done accurately, I would look for another lab. After everything I read on their FB I am not confident that their test results can even be trusted. NOTE: The response below is the ONLY response I have gotten. Notice they just say they sent it. If it was sent and I have told them a dozen times in as many ways as I can that I NEVER got the test kit. They don't offer to resend it. They claim to have mailed the kits out but they KNOW I never got them but they plan to keep the money and not send out new kits so I paid them for test results that they have no intent of providing. Definitely contacting my bank today since their response is basically "Oh, well." AND the response claims they sent the kits a FULL MONTH before I ordered them or they had ever heard my name. I ordered in July but their records show they were sent to me in JUNE. Oh, PLEASE! Instead of publicly posting a flat out lie that they sent kits out the month before I ordered them...much easier to just say "It got lost in the mail? Okay, well thanks for your money. We wouldn't have provided results if you had gotten the kit anyway, so everything is great on our end." They post the lie but everyone can see they offer no apologies and certainly don't say they will actually send me the kits. Lucky for ME Wells Fargo protects me from would be thieves. Tried this test once through VetGen at Clemenson University and THEY took my money and closed down without sending results. VERY frustrating."

"Fast results!! I never have issues getting email replies to inquiries. I have not encountered a discrepancy with results when compared to other labs. I use the testing for my pugs and poodles. Also, I find the new website useful and appreciate the sales offered."

"Even though the post office took FOREVER to get it there, as soon as my samples arrived to the Animal Genetics office, they got my results out almost immediately. I was expecting several weeks for results because that's what I've heard from other labs but Angen got my results out in 4 days! The customer service is quick and responsive as well. My email got a response within 24 hours which almost never happens for me at least. Definitely will be using their services moving forward."
