"Beware! Dr Scola diagnosed my foot pain then prescribed me an ointment used to treat psoriasis through a pharmacy that mails the meds. I asked about using local cvs but he insisted on using a special pharmacy. I received a phone call from the pharmacy and was promptly shipped all three refills of large volume tubes of the meds. My insurance would not cover the meds and the pharmacy would not accept the meds back so I spent over $1000 on ointment that did not treat my symptoms (I don’t have psoriasis). My insurance has covered all of my other prescriptions in the past from CVS or Walgreens."
"Scammer. Milks service. He would cut dead skin off my toes and would always nick me to the point that I'd bleed. He pretended to talk to someone about my X-ray on the phone and then he said my toe was infected and I needed to have it removed. Told me to go to the hospital and he'd remove it. They checked out my toe at the hospital with several tests and it wasn't infected. I was even told he wasn't allowed to perform surgery at that hospital. Imagine how the surgery would have looked had he actually done it when he couldn't even use a scalpel without making me bleed. The next podiatrist I started seeing never made me bleed. The guy is a quack. I'm not sure how he's still allowed to practice."
"Dr. Scola has such a great attitude it really helps with the demoralizing nature of foot issues. Everyone in the front office is also super friendly, a rare find at doctors offices these days. BTW couch aerobics is a real thing! I looked it up on YouTube after he suggested it when I expressed concern about gaining weight while my foot healed. Thanks Doc!"
"Unprofessional, dismissive, lacking compassion. Wanted help with my elderly, wheelchair-bound mother's toenails that had fungus and were getting very thick. Tried Angel Cuesta first and he did nothing about it. This doctor refused to file them because he didn't want to "breathe in the dust" but hacked them up with clippers with zero consideration for aesthetics. He offered to remove the worst toenail completely but we didn't want to go through that surgery at the time. So he prescribed a cream without even doing a culture. We used the cream every day for 6 months and they only got worse. I finally took her to see Dr. Guidice and she did exactly what the first two refused to do! She filed them down so my mom can comfortably wear shoes! It's not a cure, but is exactly what my mom needed. At her age and with her conditions, they are not likely to ever grow out but we just need someone who cared about her comfort and would clean them up for her."
"First visit with Dr. Scola regarding my plantar fasciitis exceeded my expectations. He is personable, explained the cause, verified diagnosis with ultrasound, treated the problem, and advised treatment going forward. Dr. Scola has a good and efficient office staff (especially Ginger) and everything went fine. I am highly satisfied with Dr. Scola's practice."
