"Never had a problem w Dr K directly per se or getting labs done but one of the receptionist is very rude, you can never get ahold of the office directly to even ask simple questions-you have to call a generic 800 type number and then within 2days maybe someone will call you back from the actual office but if you have a life/work and miss the call, guess what?, you have to call the generic 800 type number again and it’s just a vicious cycle of never speaking to anyone or getting your results/?s answered. I even took time out of my day and when into the office for information and got nowhere. When they sent a referral out for tests I needed ran, I felt like I was an employee for UF health as I had to follow up with third party and tell them where to send results, I had to confirm w UF they got the results, third party sent results to wrong fax# so I had to contact them and relay the correct fax # too much leg work as a patient. When someone in the office finally connected w me they couldn’t give me detailed results and asked if I wanted to make an appt to go over results. This would cost me $ and time when the results should be relayed to me as the patient so I declined and asked someone else to call me back, it’s been over a month and I still don’t have my simple question answered. Def going to seek a diff medical office at this point, I think UF has gotten too big to take care of the patient anymore."
"Terrible, condescending, malicious negligent. The visit I had today was horrible. The NP was all over the place, she left the room because she just wasn’t sure and wanted confirmation that she wouldn’t be able to provide very basic care. She came back MAD and even more RETALIATORY that she would order more labs and more visits before proceeding with what the visit was initially setup for. She was absolutely terrible. It was infuriating and upsetting that medical care has become this awful. NP Gill, find a new profession. However long you were in school, it was not long enough. Whatever your major was, it was absolutely the wrong decision. Do Not make the mistake to go to this Callahan UF health office under Dr Lawson . It is The Worst . Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else."
"Dr. Lawson is one of the best doctors I’ve seen in a very long time. He took his time listening to me today. He is super professional, kind and didn’t make me feel rushed. I couldn’t help but cry in my appointment because I actually felt heard. I’m forever grateful for his time, referrals and trying to find the root of my health issues."
"Run ! As if the reviews here don't scream "bad experience ahead", as time shows, they don't care how we the public feel about the huge problems here, and do nothing to make right on these offenses. My son was a patient here. I needed ONE thing for the school. A letter. Not an excuse, just a letter stating that he was seen there, treated, and also referred to and ENT and then rechecked. Not only was the receptionist incredibly rude, she also informed me that I would get nothing without an appointment, and a co- pay! She highlighted the fact that it had been some time since he had been seen. This is everything wrong with sick care today. Instead of commending that we had done all the right things to stay well, and not be seen, she shamed me for not booking needless appointments and wasting resources. Isn't the common goal here for us to be healthy, and NOT need to see the doctor ? Oh wait, then they dont get to charge your insurance for needless tests and get kickbacks from big pharma, for prescribing you drugs, that don't actually work, have a ton of side effects, but can be effective if you take another of their drugs with it, also with it's own side effects. Why doesn't any doctor here work with their diabetic patients to correct their condition through their diet? I didn't even know that was possible, until I met a doctor that does! Why don't they do an initial blood work up, and advise healthy eating plans along with healthy supplements that we know are missing in all of our diets? I have been nieve thinking what I was always told, to trust your doctor. The last two years have shown us all alot. NEWSFLASH : Healthcare doesn't make money when people are HEALTHY !!! This is what you get when your "healthcare" is focused on greed not health."
"It's stupid to be a primary care that is supposed to see sick patients (either in person or telemed) and regular patients but tell a sick patient that they need to go the minute clinic or ER because you don't have any appointments for 2 months. But you're supposed to have same day sick visits."
