"So scummy and backed up, unfortunately this place has a monopoly on all colorectal specialists in this area and takes full advantage of it. In desperate need of competition"
"During the course of two weeks after a referral. I have called at least 20-30 times. Left 3 voice messages. Never i got my call answered nor got call back! On my last resort, I literally purposely clicked to schedule a surgery thinking that they answer or at least call back surgery needing patients. WRONG!!"
"I hope we get help for our son with stage 4 colon cancer. So far he has been denied services because his insurance company denied he has coverage, yet he's paying the premiums to AmBetter through ACA. Lee Community says he made too much money last year for help. He can't work, no longer has a job and is out of money. WeCare is also saying he doesn't qualify due to last years income."
"I walked into Gulf Coast Medical Center under my own power. Didn't come out the same. I had diverticulitis, part of my urinary tract was fused to my intestine and had to be separated. What was a non-emergency surgery, became one very quickly. This type of surgery requires a 'bowel prep', and although I did one, I told them upon arriving that it wasn't complete, the prep was not thorough...at all. X-rays even determined, and I could see, even with my own untrained eye could see that the intestines were still 'loaded', but away we went with the surgery. Two surgeries in two days. I spent 18 days in ICU, unconscious, intubated, and admittedly the doctor said I nearly died TWICE. Several things went wrong. They took me in for a SECOND surgery because suddenly....my bowel prep worked, and they pumped TWO LITERS of liquid feces out of where I just had surgery, and I went septic. All because they didn't tell me to go home, re-do the bowel prep, and do the surgery another day. I was away from my home for a total of 93 days, my wife was frantic, and although they tried to keep her apprised of what was going on during those first 18 days in ICU, she made decisions on my behalf that ultimately saved my life. I came home, unable to walk without a wheelchair, then to a walker, finally to a cane, now walking. This should not have happened. They used a PICC in me, resulting in very limited use of my left arm. My left arm was heavily scarred due to a previous CABG, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, where an artery is 'harvested' to be used for my quadruple bypass in 2003 somehow, nerve damage resulted in weakness and about 50% use of my left arm. A PICC line, improperly placed, can result in nerve damage. Obviously, mine did. It was left in for an extended period. Knowing what I know now, Dr. Jeffrey Neale wouldn't be allowed to treat roadkill."
"Money hungry is too kind for these people. A simple, ten minute office exam gets billed as surgery @ $778.00. The only access to Dr. Dyke is through letters that go unanswered. I waited for four hours for for my 8AM colonoscopy because "something went wrong" with the patient ahead of me. I will never go back to let the "something went wrong" patient be me."
