"Busy place. However, everyone appears to take the time to make you feel you're the only one there. Ivan at the front desk is good-natured and amiable. The nurses and technicians are always smiling and helpful. These are important attributes when the reason you're there is back pain. Busy place. The best indicator of competency, expertise, and positive results."
"I am three weeks out from ACDF surgery performed by Dr. Anthony Kouri and doing very well. The constant pain that I was experiencing for several months is finally gone. We found the office and clinical staff to be knowledgeable and efficient. Overall, I am very satisfied with my decision to proceed with treatment at Joseph Spine. Thank you ALL for your help!"
"BEWARE I had a HORRIBLE expereince with this office - BAD attitudes, VERY unhelpful, don't care about their patients, and ONLY want to push surgery! I was in the hospital with an excrutiating herniated disc for a week at the beginning of October. While I was there, a Ortho from Joseph Spine treated me. He worked at the Tampa office, so he referred me to this office. I called after I was discharged on 10/06 and was given the first appt. On 10/20. During the visit, I mentioned that I wanted to do everything possible to avoid surgery, and the doctor didn't seem to like that. The day before this visit, I saw my PCP and asked them to fill out FMLA paperwork for my job, which is necessary for me to have been on a leave of absence while I was in the hospital and for any future treatment or emergencies required. I also requested a letter releasing me back to work (that simply says yes or no I can perform my work duties). My PCP told me that since the Ortho was treating me and would know all future dates and treatment, they should fill them out. However, when I asked Cindy (who works under Dr. Cory), she said they don't unless I am having surgery. I called my PCP back and told them and after going back and forth with them, they told me the Ortho should and the PCP refused. I called and spoke with Cindy again, and she said that "since they didn't take me out of work, they can not release me back to work" Ummm, no one took me out of work - the CONDITION that put me in the hospital took me out, which is the condition that they are treating me for - and why would she not be able to say whether I was ok medically to work?? Also, they had all my medical records, including the ones from the doctor with Joseph spine who treated me in the hospital. Cindy was adament that she could only give me a doctor's note for the visit on 10/20, that I was a new patient and they couldn't fill anything out and could not give me a letter saying I was released to work (even though the doctor said work I was fine to work during the visit). The FMLA paperwork just says "was this patient in the hospital, include the dates" , "is this a chronic condition?", "what is the estimated treatment plan?". I left a voicemail for the office manager, who has a recording saying she returns calls within 24 hours and that was 4 days ago and I still have not received a returned call. So, my PCP and my Orth both refused and now I HAVE LOST MY JOB. None of the reasons Cindy gave made any sense as to why they "couldn't" complete the documents, which makes it very clear that it is because they just didn't want to even though I explained that I have 3 kids on my own and can't afford to lose my job. Seems like they don't want to help unless you are going under the knife and they can make thousands and thousands of dollars off your insurance company. Thanks for nothing Joseph Spine!!!!!"
"Dr. Joseph did surgery on my mom Friday. She feels great! We came to Dr. Joseph after having an awful experience elsewhere. From the first appointment to the the surgery Dr. Joseph and his staff have been amazing. They care!! And thats hard to find. My mom and me would like to say that we are so thankful for Dr. Joseph and his entire staff. You have no idea how much this means to us. I highly recommend Dr Joseph Spine!!"
"I went to see Dr. Joseph about chronic low back pain that has hindered my life considerably the last few years. Dr. Joseph laid out my treatment plan and was there for me every step of the way. When we decided to go ahead with surgery a few months in, his team was helpful every step of the way. From pre op to post op I felt well taken care of and cannot recommend them enough. Dr. Joseph changed my life for the better and I am so grateful to him and his team. Shoutout to Nancy for everything she did to help me along the way!"
