"I visited Sanibel Internal Medicine with a painful ear infection. As a "walk in clinic", I wasn't sure what type of medical professional I would see. After a 30-minute wait, I was pleased to meet Dr. Bussing. Despite the fact that it was closing time, Dr. Bussing took the time to thoroughly understand my medical history before proceeding with his examination. I was impressed with his friendly, professional demeanor. Most importantly, his treatment and pharmaceutical prescription quickly resolved my health issue so I could enjoy my time on the island."

The experience was excellent in all regards - from the moment we were greeted when we arrived to the fine care and attention provided by Dr. Bussing. He took the time to discuss my medical history, was very thorough in his examination and was concerned that the correct diagnosis was made. He explained his recommendations and prescriptions with a follow-up phone call. The experience seemed like good “old fashioned” medicine, with its personal, friendly, and yet very professional approach."

"Great service, very quick and extremely thorough. Our understanding is this is a new practice in an existing location, so old reviews should not be considered to apply to this doctor and staff. Dr. Bussing was very helpful to our daughter who was 'annihilated' by no-see-ums on the first night of our visit to Sanibel Island. She has very sensitive skin and reacts badly to insect bites. We had no wait, and were taken care of exceptionally professionally, very thoroughly, and with great care. When Dr. Bussing's new software system experienced a delay in relaying the prescriptions to the neighboring CVS, his staff (in this case, his wife) literally drove the prescriptions over to the pharmacist personally! We know, because we were there waiting for them to get filled, and she found us in the store to let us know. The next day after the visit, Dr. Bussing personally called to check on our daughter. The facility is easy to locate, parking is ample, and it is very clean (freshly painted and furnished). During our visit, we learned that Dr. Bussing was not only a long-standing physician in Springfield, IL, he was also a medical school professor. If you have any need great or small (and we were grateful our need was the latter), we can't recommend Dr. Bussing and Sanibel Medical enough!"
