"Mid last year we brought my 85 year old mother-in-law from Arizona to live with us in Palmetto. She had not had an eye exam in 10 years. We first tried to get in with another local office and couldn't even make the appointment because of being on hold for so long, so we hung up. We decided to make an appointment with the Florida Eye Specialists in Ruskin. I go with her for every appointment to make notes for her. Both of us were exceptionally pleased with this office! In particular, JP the tech did an amazing job and was so personable; we felt not just comfortable but enjoyed our time getting her eyes checked. Thank you JP! Then we were taken to another room for Dr Dino to come and do his exam. Again we were very pleased with his manner, and the fact that he even did some of the same exams over, not because he didn't trust the technician but he just wanted to see some of it for himself and he had the time. We both really like this doctor! In October I had my regular eye exam in St Petersburg but I asked Dr Dino a question about a cataract they had noticed and he gave me information about what to watch for (that I hadn't previously been given), concerned for me as though I was already his patient. When my annual rolls around this next October I will schedule with this office instead of the one in my former City of St Pete especially since my doctor in that office retired right after my last exam. There was no wait; everyone I met starting with the receptionist was very kind... this was an overall great experience. I've been a grateful patient of Dr. Lawrence for 27 years and just had my first visit with Dr. Patel in that same office to get my contacts prescription updated. She was very thorough and spent extra time in getting things just right for my new prescription. I had placed the wrong appointment time on my calendar and came an hour later than my actual appointment time. I was very embarrassed but Dr. Patel was so gracious in accommodating my error and fit me into the schedule, even though the visit lasted past their typical closing time. I'm very appreciative and impressed!"
