"Extremely Disappointed with Primary Care Physicians' Office As an eye doctor office dedicated to providing prompt and quality care to our patients, we are deeply disappointed by our recent experience with the Primary Care Physicians' office. Despite our urgent requests for assistance in scheduling a specialist appointment for a patient in need, we were met with unprofessionalism, incompetence, and outright negligence. On 02/07/2024 our office encountered significant obstacles while attempting to facilitate an urgent specialist appointment for a patient under our care. The patient's condition necessitated prompt attention from an Ophthalmologist, requiring authorization and referral from their Primary Care Physician (PCP) due to insurance requirements. Despite multiple attempts to communicate and provide the necessary documentation, including faxing records and updating insurance information, the staff at the Primary Care Physicians' office continuously failed to fulfill their obligations. Their refusal to acknowledge receipt of critical documents, insistence on outdated insurance information, and dismissive attitude towards our patient's urgent medical needs are simply unacceptable. Additionally, the PCP insisted on an outdated insurance policy, disregarding our clarification that the patient had since changed insurers, and the new policy necessitated authorization. Despite our impassioned pleas for cooperation, the representative's dismissive attitude and outright rudeness were utterly unacceptable. They callously terminated the call, displaying a shocking lack of empathy for our patient's urgent medical needs. After persistently contacting the PCP's office, we finally managed to reach another representative who acknowledged receipt of our records. However, despite assurances of resolution, the situation only worsened. Despite providing updated insurance information and specialist details, the PCP failed to take action, resulting in further delays and frustration. It is disheartening to witness such disregard for patient well-being and professionalism within the healthcare community. As a result of their incompetence, our patient has experienced unnecessary delays and added stress in receiving the care they desperately require. Implore corporate management to investigate this matter promptly and implement necessary reforms to prevent such egregious lapses in the future. Patients deserve better than to be subjected to such callous indifference in their time of need. We hope that by sharing our experience, others will be informed and encouraged to advocate for better standards of care. Our commitment to our patients remains unwavering, despite the obstacles presented by entities such as the Primary Care Physicians' office"
"Made me feel discriminated because I have children, no prior heads of to inform people who have kids that kids are not permitted in the location, not even a sign inside of the waiting room to inform you about this, CHRISTY is simply a miserable rude being and you can see it as soon as you walk in and take a look into her dead eyes, MARVIA I think was a sweety and remained professional and respectful, even though she had to let me know I would need to reschedule my appointment bc I had my kids with me, CHRISTY was in the background saying rude comments like you "have to leave them somewhere" and "we can't watch your kids " like as if I asked her to watch my children. My comment doesn't matter apparently so many 1stars. But this was definitely embarrassing and dehumanizing. Put some signs up that let people who have kids that it's a fast majority of people, that kids aren't permitted in the lobby or dental rooms."
"This is the worst office I have ever been to in my life honestly. I am not one to ever write reviews but this place needs one badly. I was pregnant, went to the office to be seen- was seen. They tell me I need to go do an ultrasound and to come back next apt to go over the results. I go back and guess what? They didn’t even have my file in their system. I spent two hours in that place being tossed around to one staff to another and still the dr refused to see me to speak about my results because they didn’t have my financial stuff on file when in fact I gave it the first time. Later in the week I’m cramping- I have a miscarriage. Honestly if they would’ve went over MY results and told me sooner I could’ve treated this a lot differently instead of going weeks not knowing if I was still pregnant or not. I have never been more angry and sad over a place I should’ve found comfort in. The staff is horrible- maybe three girls are nice the rest don’t care, I needed a DR note and couldn’t provide me one because the doctor didn’t physically see me? What the heck! I spent two hours there not even getting the results I desperately needed. I will not be going back- this is the most traumatic experiences I’ve gone through in my late 20’s. I hope you read this and understand how disappointed I am in your service. You should really be ashamed of your self and your staff. OH and don’t even bother calling!! They don’t answer!!! I’d have to drive to find out about if they got my results yet, what time are my apts. Ridiculous."
"Every time I come to this location in Apopka and I have an appointment, I'm always seen an hour to two hours from my appointment. How is I have an appointment at 2:45pm for just a simple procedure that takes 5 minutes, I'm not taken to the back till 3:20pm and I am now not leaving until 4:45pm? That makes on sense. It extremely unorganized."
"I went there taking my elderly friend to her appointment. The waiting room/reception area was clean, bright & spacious. There were TV's to keep you entertained. We only waited a few minutes before we were called back. Her Dr was AMAZING, caring, helpful, explained things clearly, was empathetic & very kind. All the staff there were wonderful, friendly, helpful & efficient. It was a wonderful relief to know that my friend was being taken care so well."
