"Ok so this school is very resource for students who are looking forward to stay occupied. They have so many programs to get involved in, the teachers care for students, they want to make sure you're alright academically and outside of school. You gotta have above a 2.5 gpa to stay enrolled. In my opinion the school is huge, stories very colossal campus. There is block schedule so you'll have only 4 classes a day, school ends after 3 and stars before 7:00. It is a magnet school, but if your coming from Silver Lakes then you go in automatically, otherwise it's a lottery. Their band is the best in my opinion, I LOVE the theme song, it's evry groovy. You just have to be organized to keep up with classes. They also have a great guidance staff, you can visit them during lunch, or your study hall: personalization. They also have a great swim team, as far as I know. It's a lot to keep up with academically, but they're there to help you, they have tutoring two days a week. They also have a very approachable and outstanding security staff. They have student mentors and T.As .Lastly they have no school Friday's which you can use for homework, volunteering, your job or whatever else you'd like. Usually teachers are very friendly too. - D.P"
"I Graduated from PBHS in 2008, it is a great school. they have the best teachers I have met.. the 4-day school week was also awesome.. but dont get me wrong. They are one of the best schools in florida if you want a good education.. they will kick you out if you are there to slack off.. must have good grades"
"Felt like winning the lottery. My daughter is excelling academically and has joined many clubs and made some wonderful friends. The teachers and staff deeply care about the kids. The new block schedule along with Fridays off will be wonderful"
"I give this school a 4.5, because, it is filled with students who well, won't accept you unless you are in the majority, basically a lot of teachers say more work = better success, that should not be the case. However, I give it a 4.5, because it is WAY more challenging than my Middle School, and I will be able to get into a great college because of this, on the other hand, again, what Obito Sigma said is correct, people will bash on you, and teachers will have high expectations, but that's High School, in general. There are always people who will accept you, obviously, but be sure, to be active, as in do what you like to do, don't keep your nose in a book, all day, even if your parents say so. They are basically setting you up for failure, you can have straight A's and still fail at life, it's all about finishing what you need to do, but still having fun, I recommend going to Homecoming, and other parties, please don't stress, there are counselors for a reason. PS: If you end up happy, you succeed, no exceptions. :)"
"Personally, I really do not like the school. Most students made fun of me just because I got a B+. I had an unweighted GPA of 3.93, and all I got was crap. I know that I was not the smartest kid in school, but I wanted to be SOMETHING. I cried; yet, everyone just bullied me. In my AP Bio class, I got a 4 on the exam... but who could I brag it too? Everyone did better that me. The students make up this school. To be honest, Pompano is the same as every other school in Broward County. Don't go here if you are expecting to have friends or a better education."
