"My Doctor called in my Prescription (NASWF Pharmacy) on the 18th of November 2022, as I was directed by them (pharmacy) the month before. I tried to call the Pharmacy to activate the Prescriptions. For the next week and a half I called (4 to 5 times a day) the Whiting clinic PH#. It said "Press 5 for the Pharmacy", afterwards, it would ring 5 or 6 times then ask you to leave a voice message then tell me the voicemail box is full for this line, every time. On November 29 2022, I called the Tricare rep at the Whiting Fld Clinic location. He informed me that the Pharmacy there does not answer the phone!!!!???? So, he says for any comments or questions about my Prescription, I must drive the 22 miles from my house to base (NASWF). This includes to initiate the prescription that my Doctor called in to the Pharmacy!!?? #1. Why have the selection (#5 for Pharmacy) on the Automated call system if there is ZERO chance anyone is going to answer that line! #2. If my Doctor is phoning in my Prescription for the convenience of all, why can't I activate my script over the phone."

"Worst Naval Medical center I have seen in my entire career. 1. No sick call, they throw a down paper at you and schedule you for an appointment to see doc 2-5 days later. 2. No one ever answers their phones when people call, it takes an act of god for that to happen. 3. Scheduling Appointments for non active duty (dependents) are 1-2 month waits. You’ll have better luck just driving or scheduling appointments / sick call with Naval Hospital Pensacola. They are much more helpful."
