Reviews
"Let me start this review by saying that I am retired Air Force and have taken my son to this " Baptist Urgent Care " many times, and received nothing but the most outstanding medical care that he has had in his entire life. The Medical Personnel there, especially Doctor Richard Russo, have always been the best of the best. For a couple of days my son had been complaining about a very sore throat, not being able to swallow that well, and his energy level was way down, so I took him to the B.U.C. ( Baptist Urgent Care ) on nine (9) mile road. This was around 1700 hours on Saturday ( 12-02-2023 ). He was examined by Dr. Russo, who quickly informed me that my son had a pretty severe case of Strep Throat. Dr. Russo even pointed out to me the " red dots " all over the inside of my sons throat. Dr. Russo then explained to me how strep was treated and he wrote prescriptions for my son, and then provided me with an excellent, after care/treatment briefing. Dr. Russo's courtesy, politeness, attitude, and professionalism were as outstanding as always. I immediately got the prescriptions filled, and took my son home. As I tried to give my son the liquid medications orally, his throat had become so swollen that he had a " gag reflex " and could not swallow the meds. I tried this several times throughout the night with the same results. He could not even swallow pedialyte or anything else. This had happened once before a few years back, and the Doctor at the time gave him a 4mg. Ondansetron Orally Disintegrating Tablet and it worked like a charm. On Sunday, ( 12-03-2023 ), I called the B.U.C. as soon as they opened and was told that Dr Russo was not there. I Then explained about my sons appointment the day prior, and the current problem that my son was having and I asked the female that I was speaking to if she could call in a Perscription for one or two Ondansetron tablets for my son. She stated that she would and that they would notify me when the prescription was called in. At 1300 hours I had not heard from anyone, so I called back. The Female that I spoke to was very rude, and stated that they were busy and that they would call the prescription in when they had time. At 1700 hours, I still had heard from anyone, so I called the B.U.C. back to ask them what the status was on the prescription and to inform them that my child was getting very dehydrated because he could not hold anything down, and also to inform them that the Pharmacy closed at 1800 hours on Sundays. After being transfered to different people over the phone, some idiot then informed me that they had not called the perscription In and that they were not going to and that I needed to take my son to the emergency room for treatment. I could not believe this. I started digging through my sons old medications, and was able to find an old Ondansetron Tablet that had not been thrown away. My son was able to get this down, and the Meds and lots of Pedialyte soon followed. Now, whatever you do, DO NOT take your child to this place on a Sunday. Because of their ignorance and incompetence my son could have become gravely ill. The people working at the B.U.C. on this day do not even deserve to be called " Medical Personnel." In my opinion, they are nothing but a bunch of " man hating " nasty vile wenches. If the B.U.C. insists on having rude, incompetent females posing as medical personnel at this location, it is only a matter of time before some patient suffers serious harm by their actions ( or inactions ). How could they tell me that they would call in the prescription that morning, make me wait all day, and then as the Pharmacy is about to close, tell me they are not calling it in and to take my son to the E.R. ? Yes, the women that were working at this place on this day are the " mother of all lies, " and remember the Medical Hippocratic oath ? The heart of the oath is about patient safety, and the statement about doing no harm does not apply to those nasty vile wenches that were working on Sunday, 12-03-2023. God help you if you depending on them to help you."
"I was seen by Dr.Nguyen and will never go back because she still hasn't sent in a prescription for thyroid medication that I needed because my meds wouldn't arrive in time by mail so I called office left messages for her no respond even drove to office left a message still no respond now I'm without and have no choice but to wait for5 more days and hope that they arrive in the mail no way will I ever go back to this place"
"Absolutely atrocious customer service from the woman working the front desk between 9am and 2pm she completely mishandled personal identifiable information to include social, and just made up an address and birthday to put on the discharge paperwork completely inaccurate information that was sent off with a prescription which couldn’t be filled because the information that she put on it was completely made up!!! And when we had to go back to correct the issue she made every excuse in the book to state she didn’t put that false information in it’s not “in her character” so magically it appreared… do not go to this hospital… they will very loudly so the whole waiting room can hear . Announce all your information including social DOB and Address and then they won’t record it properly and blame their system. Stay away from this horrible hospital… Joann Beasley… deserves to be fired for her complete lack of professionalism and Inability to keep HIPPA and personal Information secured or confidential.."
"Update: 08/22/2023 Received phone call & they apologized for the uncleanness. Also stated they were going to take care of it. I guess since someone actually reached out to me....and if they get that place clean....It's ok. Prior: Let me tell you...... *DIRTY *UNSANITARY *LACK of COMMUNICATION *COVID TESTING TAKES 24 HRS w/ no strain or variant information! *NP Blah Attitude The good....np tested for strep, covid, flu. So there was something good .... This is a DIRTY urgent care! OMG....I've never been to a dirty urgent care!!!! Unsanitary....no one pulled paper over the bed in the room! There's spilled stuff...gum & trash on the floor!! I'm pretty sure they do NOT sanitize the room after someone test positive! Covid testing.....nope, don't come here if you want the results in 20 minutes...it's 24 HOURS!!! The front DON'T tell you this when you ask!! I should have gone to American Family Care in Pace!! I'm so irritated...LACK OF COMMUNICATION.... NO VARIANT GIVEN HERE! It's always nice to know & have documentation of what ya caught!! One of my health disorders is linked to H1N1 strain. Documented. I really don't have anything good to say about this urgent care! This is probably why the parking lot is empty!! Yet, it's taking for ever...... Update: It did take a little over 24 hours to get that call telling me my daughter had covid..."
"Honestly, it was an exceptional experience. I was taken back for my ultrasound promptly within 10 minutes of checking in. The ultrasound tech, Kristen, informed me of the procedure before and throughout the procedure. Kristen also treated me with respect, dignity, and addressed me with my preferred they/them pronouns. Thank you, Kristen. You are awesome!"
