"Went here the last of 2023. I only went to Job Corps because it was free! Finishing CMA was going to help me go back to college (because I would have the means to pay for it). Unfortunately that dream was shattered, because I found out a month after I got there I was pregnant. I continued to stay because they indeed said they could help me! I was mistreated! A heavy set pregnant woman lost 15 pounds due to the lack of food they were providing me. They would take me to my doctor’s appointment late so unfortunately I would miss them. Staff disclosed my personal information! Also, I had to beg for my prenatal! My last couple weeks there they put me in a vacant room with no working bathroom. I had to walk up and down the hallway to a different location to use the bathroom. Imagine having morning sickest and a weak bladder! I stayed in a moldy room aswell, but the sickest part is I had to beg the staff to take me to the hospital, because I thought I was having a miscarriage due to the fact I was bleeding heavily! I went to numerous staff members! Even the head huncho in charge (Mr. Wyckoff )and he disregarded everything I said. Even the supervisor that’s over “Wellness”. They both promised me a better living there but unfortunately I had to resign, because due to me being pregnant I wasn’t welcomed!"
"In this place the negative outweighs the good, but if you just focus on what you came here for you will leave shocked you made it. This place provides free GED,Certifications,Drivers Liscenses ect.... It may be hard to feel normal after leaving, just make sure you have a good support system to at least let out the bottled up pain because some real shi goes on behind those gates and closed doors and the staff know it, but they don't care. Stay quiet and do what you need to do you'll get through it!!!"
"I graduated from here on 2007. Never got in any trouble completed my course and got the money from getting my job at the end of the course. You are here to get your high school diploma or GED and complete a trade. Nothing more. Keep that mindset and you will be able to graduate."
"Can’t even go in the bathroom to go pee in peace there’s bags on the toilets and the bathroom doors are broken can’t lock then if you gotta take a number 2"
