"Hey! I’m Rae and I’ve been working with clay for about 10 years. Tallahassee Clay Arts (TCA) is an amazing community for potters of any skill level. Whether you’ve never touched clay in your life or whether you’ve been a long term sculptor, there is a place for you here. Sue provides classes and open studio opportunities depending on your skill level. There are also opportunities (if you so choose) to get involved with Tallahassee Pottery Market where you can sell your work and meet other potters. I made friends with other potters and often their work inspired me and helped me grow as an artist. I’m so sad to be leaving Tallahassee for work. Tallahassee Clay Arts was my favorite part of living in Tallahassee."
"Super cute place and fun environment! My sister and I did the One Shot Wheel Class with Sarah as our teacher and it was so fun! Definitely worth the price of admission just watching and learning about the process of pottery making and you get to keep your art after they glaze and fire it for you! Super quick turn around for getting our pieces back as well! 10/10 recommend! Thank you Tally Clay Arts!"
"Very intimate learning experience! The instructors are very kind and calm and helpful. Wheel Throwing is very fun and rewarding."
"Absolutely LOVE this class! We did the 4 week beginner wheel class and I learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed myself! This was my first time throwing on the wheel and I love all my pieces!"
"I booked the "Try Clay" class for my wife's birthday as a surprise - she had wanted for a long time to try throwing clay on a wheel. The garage studio was a lot of fun, and very comfortable. Sue did an excellent job going over the basics with us, and was wonderfully encouraging. If she saw that we were struggling, she also knew right when to let us try in order to learn versus when to step in and help so that we could make progress and it was still fun. My wife and our friends each got to make several complete pieces, and look forward to coming back to paint and glaze them! Very good value, too."
