Reviews of Grandma's Secret
"Definitely worth trying. Halal Uzbek Restaurant in South Florida. Food was overall good. Small improvements on food can take this place from good to great. Portions could be slightly bigger but thats not a deal breaker. We had: Samsa Fried empanada looking thing (cheburek) Bread Manti (dumplings) Chicken skewer Laghman noodles Uzbek Pilaf The Uzbek Pilav was the best item we had. Next time going all in on the lamb Uzbek Pilav Lamb skewers Cumin lamb The prices are reasonable. NOTE: There is no line for a tip on the receipt, so their prices are inclusive of tip."
"Recently, I visited an Uzbek restaurant Grandmas and it was an exceptional culinary experience. The dishes were a delightful showcase of Uzbek cuisine's richness. The Dolma was a revelation, each grape leaf stuffed with perfectly seasoned meat and rice, bursting with flavors. The Plov, a signature Uzbek dish, was a masterful blend of tender meat, carrots, and rice, each grain infused with aromatic spices. The Manty, large dumplings filled with juicy meat, were steamed to perfection. And the Lamb Chops were a standout, grilled to a succulent finish with just the right amount of char. Each dish was not only delicious but also conveyed the essence of traditional Uzbek cooking. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the depths of Central Asian cuisine."
"This restaurant is amazing. We came here finding an Asian central food. And we loved this Uzbek restaurant. The food was delicious and for sure I will come back. I can't wait to eat Lagman again."
"Never tried Uzbek food before, so I don’t have a complete grasp on how it should taste, but everything I tried here was delicious. On this first visit I tried the small bread, the laghman, and the meat manti. The bread was exceptional. Fresh, pillowy, just the right amount of chew. The laghman had balanced flavors with noodles that had the perfect texture. The beef in the soup was very tender. The broth wasn’t too heavy and they gave me spice on the side so I could add heat to my taste. My husband got the manti and I tried a bite, really hearty dumplings. The tea was pleasantly light and my husband tried the ayran, it was super unique. The pacing of the meal was a little awkward when it came time for our entrees, but it’s a brand new restaurant and I just think it’s something that happens sometimes. Employees were very friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating with a few high chairs available as well. Menu has a lot of variety. Parking is free behind the building in a normal small lot."
"The place is easy to find. It is a small restaurant. It has a small parking lot behind the restaurant. It is Uzbekistan cuisine. The restaurant has an indoor and outdoor sitting area. It is nice a place to visit. The place has not been open very long. I did feel it is still working on some things. I liked the food here and recommend trying the place out. The flavors were different for me and good. I liked everything I tried. The dry noodles tasted great. I liked everything about the dish. The bread was good. It also looked nice. It tasted fresh. It had a good flavor. The waiter was very helpful. I ordered by his recommendations and I was happy with the meal. The kitchen is somewhat open. It has a counter-dividing it. So you can see in and watch them cook. I had a good eating experience and wish the place good luck and a warm welcome to the neighborhood."
