"My special needs son used to attend Beyond the Spectrum. I can honestly say that each and every staff member genuinely cares about all of the students. The staff members try hard not to put stress on the parents. I will tell you that there is NO special needs school in Sarasota/ Manatee county that compares. Degree or not. The staff at BTS is warm hearted, caring, friendly and knowledgeable. They don't favor one child from the other. My child still receives therapy at BTS and I would recommend BTS to any parent that is looking for a great school with CARING staff. P.S. Kristen and her team of therapist are the very best! Extremely knowledgeable"
"Pros: the staff is nice and polite, friendly. They treated my son well. Cons: teachers are not qualified to teach let alone teach kids with special needs. Many of the teachers don’t even have college degrees let alone teaching certificates. Not mention most have no training in special needs children. We paid $17,500 for my son to have a college student as a teacher. She was sweet as pie but had no business teaching and why the school hires such unqualified people is beyond me. My son attended there for two years and fell so so so far behind academically that we had to hold him back a grade at his new school. I saw A LOT of staff turnover during the two years my son was there. After the first year I knew it wasn’t a good fit but was afraid to try a new school and man do I regret keeping him there that second year. It’s my fault for not researching them further to see if they had any sort of accreditation...I can’t imagine that they do. I strongly suggest taking the time to research other options before choosing this school. It’s just not quality education by any means."
"This is more than a school, for my family and I. The teachers and other workers here, truly care! They are here to help. Couldn't have asked, for a better place, to have my autistic son! He is loved there, just like, we love him at home. Thank You!"
