"I applied for my child to go to this school for the 2021 - 2022 school year, and via email was approved last minute before classes actually started. Excitedly, we went to the school hoping to tour it, and/or speak with the admin and be "welcomed" by them, at least walked through the curriculum or what to expect at this school -- When we did, we realized VERY quickly this was not the school for my child! The front office admin was rude and did not want to give us the time of day. She insisted the woman in charge of registering was "too busy" to see us and that they had "already given my child's seat up because I hadn't replied in time," which was a lie because I was there with 2 hours left in the 48 hours time slot to reply to the email. So we left the school and I replied to the email stating that I would love for my child to go there just to see what kind of reply I would get. Sure enough! They were supposedly delighted to have my child at their school, yet when we were JUST there they treated us poorly and couldn't give us the time of day to welcome us to their school. This school seems to be highly rated and suggested by some parents, but I could not recommend this place in good conscious. The admin does not care about your students. Good Luck to those that do go here!"

"2 of our children have been at Sunlake Academy since the day they opened their doors a couple years ago and we have our 3rd child starting there next school year. As with anything, or anywhere, there has been some ups and downs along the road but we never lost hope in our children's school throughout it. We've been through a couple different principals and the teacher turnover in the short amount of time was not the best and that definitely tarnished the schools reputation for a little while. But I am confident and genuine in saying we love this school! This past school year has been amazing! CSA got it right finally in who they hired to lead our school! My children are happy and feel safe there and the Admin have been top notch in everything including communication and safety."

"The owners have asked people to give the school five stars a week ago. This is typical of the deception we have experienced this year. A threat to shoot up the school was covered up, injuries do not get reported and parents aren’t called. All of this is to protect themselves and not the children at the school. When reviews have to make excuses for the lack of safety, there are obviously issue that aren’t being addressed. Responses to the honest reviews on google are all templates and repeated over and over. This school has become a joke. The principal has no idea what she is doing. The staff are all leaving because of it. I regret ever signing my kids up at Sunlake. The school deserves no stars, but google will not allow a review without at least one star!!! Sunlake is a big disappointment!!"

"My child has been attending Sunlake Academy since last school year (the first year it opened) and we absolutely love it. We were hesitant at first because the public school were zoned for is already an A rated school but we have no regrets. As a computer engineer myself I really appreciate the hands on experience the kids get with STEM subjects. I saw some bad press against the school recently but after doing my own research ( I'm not much of a follower) the bad press seemed to be blown out of proportion. Anyways, the point is, it's a great school."

"Sunlake Academy is a great school and my children love it. In only it’s second year, it has made great improvements. This will be an A rated school in no time. My children will definitely be returning next year. Just ignore the children’s negative comments who dislike school uniforms and the parents who feed into the nonsense. It’s only a small group and hopefully they will leave soon. Teachers salaries are pretty low in Florida so you can’t blame them for seeking opportunities elsewhere. I have experienced this with two of my children’s teachers and they both said the same thing. Plus the fact that some of the parents are very rude. Teacher turnover is a common theme in the whole state. The only drawback was the wait period. Overall, we love the school and couldn’t be happier!"
