"I love burgers and they make the best smash burger ever. I try most every Friday after work to grab a craft beer while they make me the best smash burger ever. Note: you have to ask for the smash burger, it's not on the menu...you will not be disappointed."

"WE LOVE HERBIES! Everything we ordered was absolutely DELICIOUS and I feel like we ordered pretty much everything! The clam chowder was amazing; the short rib poutine was unbelievable—I can’t even begin to describe how flavorful the gravy was; the pork belly burnt ends tasted like candy but also had a little heat as they were complimented by the freshest giardiniera mix I’ve ever had; the bbq meat combo that came with smoked turkey, smoked ribs, and brisket was so, so, SO GOOD—juicy, tangy, sweet, salty—everything you want in a single BBQ plate and the perfect portion; and finally, the chicken and smashed potato—WOW! This was hands down my favorite entree. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was almost like a chicken florentine—it was so good, words just don’t do it justice—you have to try it for yourself. The service was outstanding; our food arrived quickly and our drinks were always filled. There is plenty of seating and we did not have to wait. Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives totally nailed it—Herbie’s is FIVE STARS!"

"It was a Saturday night. Our family of 5 got back into Marathon after a long day at Dry Tortugas. We were starving and tired. We tried stopping at 2 popular seafood places for dinner, but they were busy with a long wait. Stumbled on Herbie's. We are sooooo glad we did!!! Phenomenal food!! This must be a trained chef. Every detail was much better than expected. Chicken sandwich, brisket reuben, burger, meatloaf special, and the chicken and smashed potato that was on DDD. Everything is made from scratch; including the homemade BBQ sauces. Not too mention the plethora of beers and ciders. Faster service and lower prices than their neighbors. This place is an unsung hero/hidden gem. I had to Google "hericot verts" for crying out loud. You won't regret the food quality for a minute!!"

"Herbie's is a great pitstop on the route to Key West. We absolutely loved the beers we tried. We ended up going again on our way back. My favorite was the Oyster special with Bacon and Blue cheese (but it was a special, not sure how often they have it). It was mind-blowing. All of the other food items were pretty good as well. My only quibble was with the fish and chips — more fish, less chips would have been perfect. Fun atmosphere and fun staff as well. A great choice for those traversing the route to Key West."

"We had an awesome dinner here! I had the Asian taco with tuna! Hubby had the Redneck Ruben! They also have an awesome beer and cider list! We had the Pork Belly Burnt Ends for an appetizer, it was amazing! So delicious, the whole meal! Awesome waitstaff!"
