"My favorite Indian food to go to, if you are in pembroke pines or nearby city this place is a 10 when it comes to food and customer service. Delicious tasting Indian food. Must try."
"I get we are living in inflationary times, but this is just ridiculous. They offer TINY portions at extremely high prices. I would be ok with the cost if the food was good. But it's worse than the microwave Indian food you can get at the supermarket. It is certainly not Indian street food as advertised. I will say the samosas were good. But the chicken tikka masala was watered down with zero flavor. And the chicken curry was also soupy, greasy and lifeless with hardly any chicken. The naan was rubbery and did not seem fresh. Definitely will not be going back."
"I recently had the pleasure of dining here after years of buying and keeping their food as a staple in my home from Yellow Green Market, and it was an unforgettable culinary experience. If you're a fan of Indian cuisine or looking to explore its diverse flavors, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. The restaurant's ambiance strikes the perfect balance between modern elegance and the warmth of India's rich cultural heritage. The Service was stellar. I do wish we were given plates when we got out appetizers. Now, the most critical aspect - the food! The butter chicken wings were genius, this was a wing flavor I had not considered butt cannot get enough of. And the vegetarian options, like the were exceptional. We did order their naan, and where one was garlic and the other butter they both tasted the same and we didn't really taste any garlic. In summary, Samosa Mama is a top-tier Indian restaurant that offers an exceptional culinary journey through the diverse flavors of India. With its delightful ambiance, attentive service, and, most importantly, the outstanding cuisine. Whether you're a connoisseur of Indian food or just beginning to explore it, this restaurant is a delightful choice. And if you are a fan of their food from the farmers market this will make you love them more. Don't miss the opportunity to savor its remarkable dishes; you won't be disappointed!"
"Samosa Mama Henna and Papa are a super friendly and cute couple who own the restaurant and related prepared foods business that they sell at farmers markets. I first found Henna (and a previous business partner when it was called Nisha’s) at a Whole Foods farmers market many years ago, then rediscovered her at Yellow Green. The prepared samosas, chutneys and parathas have been a staple in my freezer for several years now. They make a great snack or meal and reheat marvelously. You can get any of her frozen items at the restaurant. On to the made to order food we had today: Vegetable Pakoras- amazing, light and crispy, not oily, everything you want this snack to be. Chicken Tikka Samosas- also crisp, the filling is well seasoned and plentiful. Butter Chicken Wings- never heard of it, but can’t live without it now. We happened upon them on a Wednesday, which is their chicken wing day and it was $2 off. Very flavorful, very tender, and the fries that are served with are also seasoned with spices. Saag Paneer- excellent spinach sauce, very green, not over cooked with large chunks of cheese. Daal Masala- a unique taste, and smell, not incredibly flavorful, probably not for everyone. This was our most disappointing dish, but edible. Garlic Naan- where is the garlic? There was obviously some herbs on top with a heavy butter flavor, crispy on the bottom chewy on the top cooked very nicely, but sadly, no garlic to be found. Butter Naan- this non-we found to be a little bit more Dowie, I feel like it didn’t rise as much. Also, because the other non-did not have any garlic on it, they basically were the same. Chutneys- Yes!! Her chutney have always been delicious, we had tamarind end, date, chutney, and her cilantro chutney that has a little bit of heat to it. These are Chinese I have bought from the farmers markets and keep on hand at all times. Raita- unfortunately, the other disappointing thing as this was very thin and not as flavorful as we would’ve liked. Overall, the service was cheerful, the food was fresh and flavorful, and despite the one sauce and one dish, not being that great, we would 100% come back. To speak to another reviewer‘s comments on the takeout containers, we did also noticed that. But, it wasn’t really a big deal for us, except that when our appetizers came out, they did not give us anything to eat on or in. So that’s the only come and I would really make there."
