"Christ's Church Academy is a fantastic school. The smaller size of the school allows for smaller classes and a better teacher to student ratio. Students get more individualized attention and get to collaborate more with their peers. The Christian environment along with its smaller size leads to a strong sense of family. This aspect is very hard to find in either public or private schools in the Jacksonville area. Students and teacher make life-long friendships and bonds."
"We have been at CCA for the past four year. I couldn’t imagine a better fit for my daughter and our family as a whole. We have loved the intimate learning environment and the family atmosphere. The teachers really care about their students and it shows. We have found CCA to be a tight knit community of families that are all invested in their kids. We love it!"
"Came here for baseball… field is located at 4112 Livingston Road. Purchase tickets through S2Pass app. Parking is okay. Port o Potties available. Clean, sanitizer available. Very nice field. Bleacher seating, room to bring chairs. Beautiful live oaks provide shade. There were small concessions available. Eateries and shops close by. Softball fields are located here as well."
"We play basketball here with Evan Wheeler. He is a good, wholesome, kind gentleman who works well with my daughter on her basketball skills. What a blessing to have him in staff here!"
"Christ’s Church Academy is a wonderful school. The staff is friendly and outgoing, and genuinely cares about the students. You will not find a more caring and loving school anywhere. The teachers at CCA are top-notch and go out of their way to help their students understand the lessons of the curriculum and the Word of God. CCA has an excellent track record of college admissions with over 90% of the students being accepted to the college of their choice. The athletics at CCA are some of the best in the state and field highly competitive teams in all major sports. Some may say that CCA is “too small of a school to get noticed by a big school.” CCA has many athletes make it to the next level and most will tell you playing at a small school is an advantage over a large school because there is more playing time and more opportunities. If you are considering CCA as the school choice for your child, you should be aware of the following. * If a teacher is not providing the best learning environment, that teacher will not be at CCA for long. It’s reassuring to know the leadership isn’t afraid to make changes if the school’s standards aren’t being met. * If your child breaks the rules or is a disruption to other students, your child won’t be at CCA for long. The students are given every opportunity to improve their behavior and the rules are clear on what is and isn’t acceptable. Again, that's reassuring. * If a parent stands on the sidelines at a sporting event and yells profanities at the team and their own child, they will be removed from the event. Fairness and sportsmanship are always expected. * If your child plays a sport and disrespects the coaches and their own teammates and then refuses to accept the discipline consequence, they will be removed from the team. There are no prima-donnas allowed. * If any child or their parents threatens a staff member, the child will be removed from the school. Bullying by children or parents is not accepted on any level. Safety comes first. * If you as a parent aren’t satisfied with any member of the staff or any other aspect of your child’s education, you have a voice and the administrators listen. Did I mention how much the staff cares about their students? There are many caring people involved at every level with CCA. Three in particular play a big part in the success of the school. * Dr. Madison Nichols – Head of School: As a teacher, Dr. Nichols was one of the most beloved staff members by parents and children alike. After she became Head of School in 2012, we noticed many improvements in the school’s exposure, curriculum, and accountability. She provides excellent guidance both academically and spiritually. She truly loves the school and wholeheartedly cares for the students. CCA couldn’t ask for a better leader. * Jason Cullum – Pastor at Christ’s Church: Jason is an integral part of the school’s Christian aspects and provides sound spiritual leadership. Jason and Christ’s Church support the school in every way possible. They are great partners with CCA and have helped make it the school it is today. * Jim Stomps – Head Football Coach: Four years ago, he brought vitality and a passion for the game not seen at the school for several years. He implemented the belief of Christ, Character and Class to the athletic program and has promoted it ever since. He loves the game of football and he is a true follower of Christ. His dedication has brought tremendous change to the program and CCA has become one of the most recognized athletic programs in the city. He believes in building of the football program, but he also believes in the building of young men to be followers of Christ. Is CCA perfect? No, and shouldn't be expected to be as such. But it is a place where your child can thrive academically, athletically, and spiritually. The staff truly cares about the well-being of your child and the parents have a voice in their child’s education. We are very happy with the choice we’ve made and wouldn’t have considered sending our child anywhere else."
