Sanibel Café

"We ate here years ago and really loved everything about it. We enjoyed the full menu especially the seafood. Today the restaurant is still going with its focus on breakfast and lunch as they close at 2pm daily. We had a 30 minute wait which in many ways tells you it is popular. It was worth the wait. Majority of the folks go for breakfast based on my observations. Miss the old Sanibel Cafe but would go back again as it still has the same quality and reasonable prices."

"I enjoyed my break from seafood today by having the Philly cheese steak sandwich. It hit the spot. My lunch companion raved about the Parmigiano tomato side. I'd try it next time because my fries were good but the tomatoes looked fantastic."

"Have come here for many years!! SOOOO HAPPY they are open again- AND the fossil shell tables with glass survived hurricane Ism! Food delicious!! My husband, a big “biscuits and gravy” fan said after today’s breakfast “THIS is the BEST biscuits and gravy I’ve EVER had!” True! Welcome back!! And beautiful wall paintings!!!"

"Ordered the Signature dish, eggs with sautéed gator. The waitress recommended a side mixture of honey and Cholula; it was the perfect touch. The hash browns were cooked the way I like, a tiny bit of crisp on the top. You can add onions for $0.50 and cheese for $1.00. My husband ordered the Rusty Pelican because he has enjoyed it in the past. A great flavor combo that is unexpected. The only improvement he said would be that it was hard to get a bite with everything because the ingredients were a little scattered. We will definitely be returning to try more of their lunch and breakfast items. We love that they serve breakfast and lunch all day. There are a few tables for two outside. The restaurant is practicing social distancing well. Diner feel, probably not great for large groups."
