"One morning, I ventured to Forked, nestled within the Waterside Place and Lakewood Ranch shopping complex, to join others for breakfast. Despite not being a dedicated breakfast enthusiast, the diverse menu featuring skillets, waffles, pancakes, and even burgers caught my attention. I decided to go with the Corned beef hash skillet, served with pancakes and eggs. The pancake & waffle list was interesting, as it offered Apple Walnut, Monte Cristo, Cinnamon Raison, Elvis, Strawberry Shortcake, S'more, Cinnabon, as options. The skillet arrived with a twist—shredded corned beef atop pan-fried potatoes, onions, and peppers, crowned with a fried egg and a generous sprinkle of shredded cheese. I was somewhat expecting ground meat mixed with potatoes, as previous to this I'd only had corned beef served this way in sandwiches. I will say, these hashbrowns were impressive. They were crisp, & well seasoned, and I always prefer country style hashbrowns (with peppers and onions) to plain. The Cinnabon pancakes followed, and while appearing somewhat plain were actually full of flavor. What appeared to be butter on top was in fact a rich buttercream icing. Drizzled with a cinnamon syrup, the pancakes were brought to life, an item I would return for. Beyond the delectable dishes, the standout feature of Forked was the exceptional service provided by our waitress. Attentive and accommodating, she seamlessly handled a myriad of requests from our table — as far as extra portions, specific crispness preferences, and substitutions — never once denying any of our bespoke requests. This stellar service stood in stark contrast to a previous dining experience elsewhere, underscoring Forked's excellent customer service."
"We walked past this place and it looked really nice. Lovely big menu of sweet and savoury items. I got the hangover burger. Came with fried egg, bacon and shoestring fries. The menu said it came with chipotle ketchup which I'm not a fan of so asked for it without. When the burger arrived I found it really spicy and when I checked there was chipotle ketchup on the bottom bun, and it was really spicy! I told the server who took it away to get another one made. When the next burger arrived I took a bite and immediately realised it still had the chipotle ketchup on it! Again, the server took it away to get another one made. The 3rd burger was really really good. Hot, juicy, flavoursome, amazing smoked well cooked bacon, loads of crispy shoestring fries, and all in a really good soft bun. It was worth waiting for! (And the manager brought it out and apologised and adjusted the cheque for me which was greatly appreciated) The waffle fries that came with the burger were really lovely (although strangely had no salt on at all, but guess that's a good thing as customers can always add their own to their preference) My wife got the chicken Florentine crepe which was good. Big and really soft crepe with plenty of fillings. However there really wasn't enough cheese to hold all the fillings together and the chicken was a bit plain. Would have been good to have more cheese, or even better a cheese sauce! The servers were very nice, but we did feel they weren't around very much. It took some time to find someone to ask for mayo, and I had to go find someone to inform them about my spicy burger (both times). I also had to go find someone after the original food came to ask for cutlery as we never got given any after we ordered, or with the food. Overall the food (eventually) was very good. Service could have been better, but hopefully it was a random one off, but really appreciated the manager apologising and sorting out the burger issues. Will come back for breakfast crepes next time we're in the area!"
"Awesome menu boasting classic breakfast and brunch dishes with a unique twist. Food was delicious wish portions being extremely generous! While visiting this time, we fulfilled our sweet tooth with the s’mores French Toast and Oreo pancakes. We were greeted right away and were quickly seated outside per our request. We can’t wait to come back and knock out a savory crepe or Benny!"
"I was excited to try this new place out because I had heard good things about it. I'm a big breakfast person and love eating breakfast out and it's located in a great location in Waterside. My mom and I were very disappointed, however. We arrived around 10:45a.m. on a Monday. It wasn't too busy at all. We dined inside. It took an unusually long amount of time for anyone to even greet us and take our order once we were seated. Silverware seemed dirty, and the food wasn't hot at all. Hash browns were undercooked, and the English muffins for my Salmon Benny were cold and chewy. The salmon benedict was tasty, but it would have been much better if it had been served hot! My mom ordered eggs with corned beef and hash browns. It was pretty bland tasting. Nothing exciting. Service was not attentive at all, unfortunately. They do offer a very interesting menu, so I might give it another shot once they've been open for a while and maybe get the kinks worked out."
"We stopped in for breakfast while out at the farmers market. We were told we had a 30 min wait, but we sat quicker than that. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and made recommendations when asked. Many breakfast and lunch options made it hard to decide. I went with different. I've never had breakfast tamales....or tamales ever...so I was intrigued by this Siesta Fiesta option. It was really unique and delicious. The husband ordered the corned beef hash skillet, and he enjoyed it... and the leftovers more the next day. My young adult son ordered the cow and hen.....he is a gym rat who consumes more calories in a day than I do week, and he could barely finish all the food he was given. I have to say the prices are above average for breakfast...as we had one OJ (fresh squeezed and awesome) and 2 waters in addition.....and it came to $85. The plus is the quality of the food served and portion sizes made it worth it. Cute and cozy atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating available."
