"First time eating here with reservation during the week. The restaurant is located in a strip center in the Gulf gate area of Sarasota. we had no issues with parking. We arrived before happy hour was over, but did not take advantage of any of those specials. We were warmly greeted and seated in the main dining room to the right of the bar. While the restaurant was clean and furniture in very good shape the overall feel of the restaurant does not have much ambience. The bar looked pretty interesting and we would probably sit there next time we come in. They have a very large selection of bourbons and whiskeys. For starters, we had a half dozen oysters and the steam clams. Oysters were very good and my partner loved the clams. They were cooked just right and not dried out. For the main dishes we ordered the whole cooked Bronzino and crab cake dinner. We also ordered a side order brussels sprouts. The Bronzino was some of the best I’ve ever had and was cooked perfectly. The lump crabcake was also very good and was actually a lump crab meat rather than shredded crab meat. Apparently the owners are from Maryland and know how to make a crabcake. The brussels sprouts were the largest disappointment. They came out like a bowl of mush, they seemed cooked well in advance and almost they had been sitting there for a while. We like sprouts, but if this is the way they come out, we would not order them again. Our server was Eddie. He was knowledgeable about the menu, very attentive, and not overbearing during our meal. We never felt rushed. We were out to dine not to eat. Will be back and probably sit at the bar. The food was solid, and the service was very good."
"Everything was delicious!!!! It’s so hard for me to find a restaurant that now only has amazing food , but good service as well ! Melissa was on point and very knowledgeable about the menu! I’ll definitely be back for sure !"
"This place is the best restaurant in town! They offer seasonal cocktails and the best fist tacos I have ever had. We eat here once a week and it has consistently been our favorite spot. Must try: spicy pineapple marg."
"Great food and great service! We had the charred octopus, the crab bisque, the burger, and the lobster roll. It was all delicious! I ended up just eating the meat out of my lobster roll though because I thought it tasted better that way. But my absolute favorite thing was the grilled octopus with that delicious salad that comes with that!"
