"We love Sunnyside. Their food is a step above the rest. Their breakfast is always excellent and their lunch offerings are stellar. On our most recent visit we had eggs Benedict Florentine. 2 perfectly poached eggs a top a lovely sautéed spinach with thick cut bacon. Their arugula salad is my favorite with grilled salmon. Delicious food, reasonably priced, prepared and served by caring staff. The location is a tad funky but once inside it’s very nicely appointed and has a little mid-century/Danish modern vibe."
"It’s been a few years since I’ve been here, recently had brunch and the brave one omelette was delicious! Service was great and thoughtful too. I’ll be coming back more"
"Ate here 3 times on my 5 night visit. Breakfast (Hungarian Porkchops) was out of this world good, had the Goulash for lunch, outstanding, and the scallops with wild mushroom risotto and bone marrow for dinner- phenomenal!! Go here early and often!"
"We were looking for a lunch spot near Ringling. Sunshine Cafe had good reviews so we checked it out. Nice menu, very clean, very good service. I had the chicken panini and my husband had the burger. Plent of food, nothing pre-made. Eva was on the premises. Definitely worth checking out. PS the lights over the counter need dusting, but the rest of the place was very clean! Oh ! And Coke in a real bottle!!!"
"Tried for the first time on Friday at 6pm. We went for dinner and there was plenty of open seating. It’s like an upper scale diner connected to lower scale motel living. The place is very charming inside and everyone was quite friendly. We ordered the scallops (which was very delicious), and the Greek salad with seared tuna added. The salad itself was good, but the tuna was average at best. It was a bit over done and had that frozen taste to it. Overall experience was nice, but it’s probably priced a bit higher than it should be. I know they are known for breakfast and their Benedict. Looking forward to trying that at some point."
