Palace Pizza - Mulberry

"Have ordered from here many times with no problems. Last night we ordered an extra large Philly Cheese pizza. The crust was way over cooked, it was very hard. Was not very tasty. I was told everything was made correctly . After paying $33.54 and throwing half of the pizza in the trash I will not be back."

"Ordered one lunch special/2slices w/drink for two of us to share. When asked for a water cup, I placed 1/2 inch of soda in the water cup since I do not drink soda, just to wet my lips. Water is not good there. The manager came to our table and gave me a bill of $2.34 for taking less than an inch of soda and called me a THIEF. (HOW DARE HIM) There is no sign anywhere that states we cannot share the drink. We always shared as i do not really drink when i eat. Just one sip and i am good. In the past i always told them i am taking a sip from the fountain and the owner told me it was no problem. The manager after calling me a thief came to our table with two boxes so that we can leave with our slices. He was very RUDE and cursed the "F" word behind the counter. Mind you, we have been coming there religiously every week for lunch. The drink is refillable as many times as you wish. Do not know why he got twisted when three drops were put in my cup. (one small sip) This new manager and the new hired woman both need to get skills on friendliness. They deal with customers all day and she never has a smile on her face. By the way, it was lunch time and the restaurant was completely empty. Never empty before these two were put in charge. No one came in to eat the whole time we were there, as we did not leave until we were finish with our food. For the owner, you must know who I am as we come all the time and each time i get a water cup. Not all the time I get soda. I usually fill the cup with water. But when the water taste bad, i pour a very minimal amount of soda in the cup when we order the lunch special/w drink. I really wish you had seen how this manager behaved with us today. It was unacceptable over a drop of fountain soda which we had purchased but shared. SMH! AND NEEDLESS TO SAY, WE ALWAYS LEAVE A TIP IN THEIR JAR AND THE WORKERS IN THE BACK ALL LOOK SO MISERABLE. They used to look happy before this manager came along. so so sad!"

"This is such a cute place and great food too!! There were 12 of us, so it was a tight fit, but I heard from everyone that they enjoyed their meal! I got a chicken ceaser salad, a full one! Usually when I order a full one they aren't very big, but when this salad came out it was massive! Highly recommend!"

"Well I have been craving a calzone for time now & this was my Pizza go to when I wanted a calzone or a "Jersey" pie. I ordered the large combination, $20.91 out the door, no tip, I picked up.The calzone which has sausage, pepperoni & marinated mushrooms, ricotta & mozzarella, that all tasted the same as 3 years ago, but the meat was sparse & the sausage was sliced a lot thiner than I had in the past. But for the price it wasn't to bad because I can eat it 3 or 4 days with a salad on the side. But the real disappointment was how long it was cooked, to dark, and because the meat, cheese etc...was sparse, it didn't need to cook that dark, it was cook to long to where the cheeses dissolved into the crust, no cheese pull & ricotta was dry. Plus there was a lot of dough with no meat. It came with 4 cups of sauce, which was nice, sauce is still delicious. Helped soften the crust. My order was correct, didn't take a long time to get & customer service was able to answer most of my questions. Price was good, but would have been great if cooked differently. It looked beautiful though! I will try it again & ask them not to cook so long, when I have a calzone craving."
