"Just for take out, first time. Despite positive reviews from folks I know, I was very disappointed with the quality of the food. Best item hot & sour soup but just mediocre. Dumplings were small. All the food was tasteless. The dumpling filling, the mixed shrimp, beef, pork & chicken with vegetables, the house lo mein. The entree using beef & pork, was very tough meat.. The customer service was cordial"

"The absolute BEST Cantonese food in the Bradenton/Lakewood Ranch/Sarasota area, BY FAR!!!! As a NYer, I'm kind of a Chinese food snob, and I know EXCELLENT Chinese food. China Village is a small, mostly takeout restaurant with a very extensive menu, with extremely fair prices. Everything my sister (Lakewood Ranch resident) & I ordered: Hot & Sour Soup, Egg Drop/Wonton Soup, Egg Roll, BBQ Spare Ribs (sooo meaty!!), shrimp & Lobster Sauce, and Mongolian Beef were as good as any NY Chinatown restaurant!!! Ivy was so nice, friendly and helpful that we felt like we were regular customers, even tho it was our first time!!!! I guarantee that every time I'm in this area I'll be at China Village OFTEN!!!! You should DEFINITELY give them a try!!"

"I had eaten here years ago and wasn't pleased. Finally gave it another shot and was absolutely delighted. The best egg drop soup I have ever had. The best pork fried rice ever. General Tso's was fresh, right amount of heat and great flavor. Even the egg roll was on point. Will be back soon. Thanks for a great meal and value."
