Reviews of Perkins Restaurant & Bakery
"Went here for the first time to get some pies. It's nice that I found this place, as there aren't many spots selling dessert until midnight. I bought pumpkin pie and apple pie, and they were very good, not too sweet. This will be my new spot for dessert at night!"
"I previously written a review that the food here was great Until last night my husband went ordered me some meatloaf the mashed potatoes And These mashed potatoes taste like fake instant mashed potatoes. Not good at all."

Main Question: Is the food here worth the money? Short Answer: No, not from this experience. Detailed Answer: There is no sugar coating this and I must say that I had higher hopes for this place but I was sorely mistaken and severely disappointed. I ordered the triple decker sandwich. The bread was inedible. It was the second most stale bread I've ever eaten anywhere. Falling second only to bread my mom left open for 4 days and I made a sandwich from it when I was 12 years old. The bread was partially burnt on top. The were two slices of turkey on the sandwich. The bacon was good. The tomatoes were good but a BLT is about the entire sandwich and when you must fight to try to break through the bread with a saw, this ruins the entire sandwich. The mashed potatoes came out drenched in gravy. I love gravy but my goodness, don't give me the entire cup. The mashed potatoes were not good. They tasted like they were instant mashed potatoes and I didn't finish them. My son ordered a cheeseburger and the onions were cut gigantic. The chef must have been new or just didn't care about the meal. (Saturday November 4th, around 8:30pm). He loves onions but those were huge and he ended up digging them out of the sandwich. The fries weren't bad. Unfortunately, I came for the soup and salad and they had no soup. The server was great but there were so many other problems in this place, it wasn't good enough service to bring this from one star to two. Maybe 1.2 stars. The bathrooms weren't horrible but they smelled and if you look at the sink where the employees wash their hands, you can see it needs a severe cleaning. We will not be back again and I highly suggest you do not go either."
"Sadly this place has gone down hill, me and my family had been coming to this location for years. Today taking my family out for a nice breakfast I was met with refusal of service because my child who doesn’t even walk yet didn’t have shoes on. First time I’ve ever heard this as I’ve brought my first born here with no issues and always had a pleasant experience with Tina. I see reviews even of telling parents they can’t change their child in the restrooms here. I don’t know if it’s management or poorly trained staff but this place seems to no longer be a family establishment but more a early bird restaurant for the elderly."
"Upon walking in the place looks nice enough. Definitely could use a little cleaning. When you're ordering food don't pay attention to the pictures because your food is not going to look anything like the pictures. The prices for what you get are a little bit outrageous. It was me, my wife, and my 4-year-old daughter and our bill was $50. It's a little much. On top of that the food was greasy as heck. Had me on the toilet all day for the next day. If you had a choice I definitely wouldn't go here. I will say that the waiting staff is pretty nice though."
