Busy Bee Diner

"We always get a delicious breakfast or lunch, but the fish taco special today impressed me. It came with delicious homemade chicken soup and I enjoyed every bite. The building is tired but the food, staff and customers are great."

"First time at this dining establishment even though it's 5 mins from my home. The name fits it perfectly because WOW was it busy today! The entire wait staff was so friendly and my waitress whom took my to go order was amazing. Think Susan was her name. She answered my questions and was very patient. Plus: I was happy to see gloves being used when buttering bread etc. Now about the food. Yes it was piping hot and fresh! However flavor was kind of a disappointment. I understand places have to be careful with salt and pepper. But goodness there wasn't a dash of seasoning on the grits, potatoes or chicken. Very bland tasting even with the chicken being marinated. Thankfully the chicken was juicy at least so taking a salt shaker to it was not a big issue. I guess that's how folks like their food though because like I said this place was busyyyyyy!!! I think the prices are competitive for this type of mom and pop shop. I mean the chicken sandwich alone no sides was $9. Oh and service was fast! Don't know how they pull off getting hot food so speedy out with 20 tickets in the window!"

"It's exactly what you want when thinking about a Diner that cares more about the quality of its food and your experience then juat being fancy. It is an old Florida hold-over, much like Munch's. You can have your basics. Or you can choose between specials. We love this place and have come to know the staff and the menu well. We are glad this place is still a St. Petersburg staple."

"Perfect little mom & pop diner. They have a pretty big selection for a small diner. Had a wonderful waitress, Edith! Food was great. Loved that they serve breakfast all day! My bacon, egg & cheese sandwich was excellent!"

"I felt rushed here. I had to order fast. Then, when I was on an important phone call, the waitress came over to talk to me about paying the bill. I was still eating. It's not very nice. The food was okay. Nothing special."
