"Food was delicious, fresh, and fast, and our server Tomara was so friendly and attentive! She was on top of things and got us everything we needed and more. We got the endless shrimp and every serving was cooked perfectly. The coconut shrimp with the pineapple coconut sauce was amazing and the sauce in the shrimp linguini alfredo was so flavorful. And we had to spring for the premium sides, the bacon mac and cheese and brussels sprouts are too good! All of the drinks were tasty and strong, too. We will definitely be back!"
"Red Lobster has a deep history from employees like Chris Rock and Nicki Minaj... to opening its first location in Lakeland... to the founder also opening Olive Garden... to creating popcorn shrimp. There is no wonder why Red Lobster is well known for great food and wonderful atmosphere. This, of course, is where the history lesson ends and my experience begins. I do not eat Red Lobster often, but I have eaten at several locations in multiple states. Each restaurant is unique in which you cannot fault the brand based off a single location. My experience with this location was par... borderline subpar. From the outside, the location is not kept in a good state... by which I mean that if it wasn't for the cars outside, it would have appeared to be another closed business that didn't survive the COVID-19 pandemic. It could use a face lift... which wouldn't change the amount of business it would receive, admittedly. However, it would solidify the brand and make the location more appealing. There is another location in Tampa that looks well kept and somewhere you would WANT to take a first date. Inside, as you can imagine, was busy. The staff appeared to be in some state of silent chaos. I didn't appreciate seeing one staff member putting a document within inches of the face of another staff member as to imply that she must be blind not to have seen something. Whether it was a joke or not, someone like me does not have the context... so I have no idea what was going on with that. The presentation of the Piña Colada and the flavor was wonderful. 5 stars. The Blue Hawaiian also tasted great and the presentation was par. The crab's presentation was beautiful. The salad was worth the extra $2. The steak's presentation was.... not appealing. 1 star. The baked potato was not good. Avoid this. A photo is attached to see how it was presented. I'm sure this could have been improved with a light garnish. As is, it looked as if I was being punished for ordering "turf" at a seafood restaurant. At the price point we paid, we weren't really satisfied with this location. However, plenty of other patrons seemed to be enjoying themselves. Remember that this review is just my personal experience. There is nothing wrong with this restaurant. It is par for the course. Your experience will probably be better than mine. I may not return to this location, but I will return to other locations."
"Made a special date visit when we saw the shrimp special. Plenty of parking, quick seating. Service was excellent and food was hot and tasty. We each tried 3 styles. My wife got the Crispy Dragon, Walt’s best and Coconut shrimp. I got the Crispy Dragon, Walt’s Favorite and Skewered shrimp. We both got side salads to start, then she a Loaded Baked Potato and I the Rice Pilaf. I had wanted to try the Shrimp Rangoon but they were out due to supply issues. Salads came quickly, cold, crisp and delicious. Not long after our meals came. Now we do visit frequently and my wife’s favorite is always the Coconut shrimp but she had never tried the Grilled Skewers and she loved them! That smoky flavor got her hooked. My favorite was the Crispy Dragon, even though not a lot of heat. Great food, wonderful service from Cody our server. And one plate was plenty. We actually took a few shrimp plus our sides home with us! Plus a nice Military discount. Marvelous!"
"We ordered the lobster dinner and it was good except for the mashed potatoes on the side and the dipping butter- both of which had a weird seasoning in them. The service was good. They can definitely make the ambience a little better. The place felt very gloomy and dull."
"Been quite a while since I was last at a Red Lobster, but sadly the experience was not everything I was hopping it would be. Now first and foremost the meal was great, my shrimp and scallop skewers were delicious, the lobster topped baked potato was superb with some of the runoff butter from the skewers, the cheesy biscuits were stupendous just like I remember, and my mother found her endless shrimp to be "so darn good" but "I wish I had just ordered the three selection instead of the endless pick." So the food was amazing, the service, well, not so much. Oh, our food was bought out as fast as it could, the refills came quietly, but our waitress was either distracted or upset about something and it showed big time. Any of our interactions with her were awkward and not exactly pleasant, she didn't even look us in the eye for the most part as we ordered our dishes. On top of that, there this guy who walks around offering to take your picture. I thought "oh, for some promotion? sure, I'll help a brother out" but then he comes back gives us a "free" picture and then two larger more professionally framed ones and says if we want the big ones they are $15 a pop. Yeesh, could have told us you wanted to sell us a picture right up front man. Now I still bought both, as I was on a visit with my mother and wanted to add a little more memory to the simple meal, but even she was shocked I paid as much as I did for a picture that we could have gotten done in a photo booth for $8. Hope that waitress gets better, with whatever is bothering her, but I think I'll try someplace else next year."
