"Five Stars ALL THE WAY! We sat for a birthday party of 14. Normally, this would be an issues, yet it was not. All the food and drinks rolled out on time. Had the octopus, scallops, seafood fettuccine and all. The service was great. Very friendly and the whole staff seemed to support one another for each table. All and all… the area is great to visit and this restaurant is right in the middle. Suggest getting in the area before 2, enjoy the area…The. Have a great dinner here…then head out to one of the bars with music and dancing."

"Water Oak Grill has some hits and misses, but overall a great cozy place to eat. I would return. Menu is great, and inside on each table has a miniature lamp. Now, not sure how to explain it, but it made the table feel cozy and welcoming with the soft light that shines on the table , NOT in your eyes. Since the restaurant is very dark inside, if the the lamp was not on the table, you might be looking at a dark plate of food. Anyways, I had the blackened hogfish which was good but not to what I would call blackened. I even asked for extra seasoning and there was little on the fish much less any blackened char, or kind of slightly burnt blackened taste to the fish.( think of just sprinkling seasoned salt on a sautéed fish and that is what the dish looked like ) However, it was topped with a light sauce which enhanced the flavor and made the dish tasty to some degree. The shrimp lobster bisque was very good and I would call myself an expert on that subject since I will order that at ANY restaurant to try it, very good bisque. It would have been nice to have bread that would come with all meals ( they do not serve bread with olive oil herb dip or anything like that, only what is on the menu ), and the grit cake was like of bland even though they said it had parmesan flavor, it was fried, and different so not too bad, but after eating 50% of the grit cake, I lost interest, so 4 stars across the board they get with all of my thoughts. Make reservations, it looked like to me they had a big line of people at 630 pm that did not have them."

"Wow! THIS is a most wonderful example of how it CAN be! We were seated promptly by the hostess. Greeted quickly by servers Chris and Jane who provided believable recommendations. Our food was delicious, they readily accommodated a special request (vegan option), and a minor issue was quickly resolved without complaint. Manager Sabina came by and her knowledge, calm manner, and humor explained volumes about her quality crew. Our food and drink were excellent, and this was honestly an experience that sets the standard for excellence. This was SO refreshing in a world where mediocrity sometimes seems to be the new normal. Thank you, well done, and we WILL return!!"

"Exceptional service at every turn. Sabina is amazing and her staff guided by her enthusiasm, knowledge, and her attention to detail was truly exceptional. We were impressed. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. Sabina made us try everything on today's special menu from the stone crabs, fresh made fries, hog fish, grouper, desserts etc..along with the main menu that has exceptional seafood selections. The atmosphere was sophisticated yet casual and has a wonderful vibe. Our favorite new Safety Harbor Restaurant."

"Very upscale bar and restaraunt. Our bartender made me a classy looking and delicious cocktail. Prices were above average when compared to other places we stopped in at but the drinks were worth it."
