Cody's Original Roadhouse - Belleair Bluffs

"The Entire Overall experience was so very disappointing. Our server should not be a server. She delivered a prime rib med well when I ordered a med rare and told me there was nothing she could do. She never checked our table after delivering food. I had to Wave her down, as she stood by doing nothing and talking to other employees, to get her to come to our table. Our drinks were not served before our meal. I sent my prime rib back and ordered nothing more. She had to, again, be waved down to come to check on us so we could settle our bill. I brought my 72 year old Mother and 75 year old Father raving about the great menu and service. I left hungry and very disappointed. Incredibly unsure that I will ever return or recommend this establishment for a nice night out for dinner. UPDATE: My server did NOT offer to bring me a new Prime Rib as I would have loved to have had that option. She did offer a different steak but I only wanted what I ordered. It is sad to read this response from Cody’s, one would think it would have been better informed and more apologetic to the customer."

"Service was great, staff was friendly and we received our meal very quickly. Food was very good. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Only con was having to wait 30 min to get a table."

"We had a great time, celebrating a birthday.. Even the old people were happy... They had fajitas They looked fabulous and enough for them to have a meal the next day and they're ,buy one get one free too my wife's was excellent !I had the pork chops which were out of this world ! Everybody was checking them out, happy hour was a nice added bonus too..bogo on drinks!"

"We've passed by this restaurant no less than 50 times over the years coming and going into this area so we finally bit the bullet and visited for dinner last week. Surprisingly we waited a good 15-20 minutes for a table for the 7 of us while there were tables open and we figured out it must be to a short staff. I will give credit to the working staff as they were zipping around working hard. I was told to try the Ribs so I went all in and did a full slab with fries. It was accompanied by a salad that they mix at the table and we were told you can substitute the dressing as some people at the table didn't care for garlic and the dressing had garlic in it. The was fine and I did like the dressing and Ribs were good and tender. The fries were ok and they arrived a little warm. My wife did the medium rare Prime Rib and it was more like Medium and we wished it had some crust to it as it didn't. It was more like a hunk of meat. Our server Amanda was friendly eventually but again I think it was due to being short staffed so her snippiness we overlooked on her tip. There is enough parking lot parking for you to not worry about and they have a decent size bar while you wait. There is no rush to come back here but hey we tried it!"

"Steak was great, I ordered the filet. Loved the rolls and salad as well! Unfortunately, my baked potato wasn’t cooked all the way so I wasn’t able to enjoy it. Our server was awesome! We arrived around 6 PM on a Thursday and were seated right away. Parking was a little difficult due to the restaurant being located in a strip mall and sharing the parking spaces with other businesses."
