Hai San Restaurant

"Over cooked seasoned food, burnt egg rolls worst Chinese food I ever had. The place is filthy, dirty floor empty boxes laying around. Had to get a guy working the register to get off his phone for my order. Then they kept asking me what I ordered and if I already paid. The sign outside just read Chinese restaurant not their name Hai San. What a hot mess they should be condemned and shut down."

"I don't do a lot of reviews. And I definitely don't do reviews unless something is legit good. I drive from Apopka to Hai San every time I want some Chinese food (which is relatively often). A coworker recommended it years ago when I lived closer and I have tried a bunch of places around me and no one comes close. The food is good, servings are generous, everyone has been friendly. It's the best takeout Chinese I've found between Metrowest and Apopka."

"The food here is fresh and fabulous! I asked for curry tofu, and they made THE BEST curry tofu that I have ever gotten at a Chinese restaurant. The sauce was thick, rich and flavorful, not watery and bland tasting, like at so many other Chinese places that I have ordered from. The vegetables were fresh and the portion size was huge. I have gone back there, and the food quality and portions have always been consistent. I have several Chinese restaurants that are closer to my home, but Hai San is the only place that I will order from again. The other places aren't half as good, in my opinion. It's in the Old Time Pottery shopping plaza, and I just happened to find it by accident, while I was driving through the parking lot. I'm sure glad that I decided to stop, because they have become my favorite Chinese restaurant."

"The chicken I ordered half of chicken with rice it is extremely dried out, the rice seems to have an odd taste as if it’s old with old grease. I’m not sure what is going on with this place but I paid money to get an order that is great not this. Maybe I need to contact the health department to see what’s going on. Because I’m highly disappointed."
