"This was the third time that we order from Johnny’s since moving to the shores. I was raving about the pizza, and how they use NY water to my friend Will. We either get plain cheese, or meatball and mushroom when we get pizza for ourselves. This time we were accommodating Will and ordered a pepperoni and mushroom 18 inch pie, well done, and with no oregano since they put too much oregano on it. That was our only complaint prior to this time. When I called, the young man didn’t even say Johnny’s pizza, he said hello and that was it. To make sure that the order would be correct, I had him repeat it back. 18 inch extra large, pepperoni and mushroom, no oregano, well done, please. He repeated it back to me. My friend will went and picked up the pizza, and brought it back to the house. As we were starting we immediately noticed that it had sausage instead of mushroom, and that it was definitely not well done. We have pizza trays at the house, so I put the oven on 425, and I stuck the pizza in there for another five minutes. I called up and the person that picked up the phone did say Johnny’s pizza, and it sounded like either the owner or his son. He was very apologetic about the pizza, but didn’t offer to do anything to replace the messed up pizza. I guess we will have to drive over to the place that we used to eat at when we lived over in town. We felt so embarrassed. After telling our friends, how great the pizza was as the two that we had prior to this one, were good, but they just had way too much oregano on them."

"I cant remember the last time I took the time to type out a bad review because i typically just move on.. but this pizza made me feel worse than my dad going out for milk and not returning home! I won't be ordering here anymore, in the past I've ordered from here and it was decent, considering finding good pizza in Ocala is a challenge, but the last two times I've ordered from here this is what I've been greeted with when I open the box. AVOID THE BUFFALO CHICKEN PIZZA AND THE CHICKEN PARM PIZZA! In fact unless you're just ordering a straight cheese pizza id avoid this place entirely, their pizza is so wet no amount of time in the oven could save it! Also the pizza guy didn't let me see the pizza before tipping. Waste of 27 dollars not including the 5 dollar tip bringing it to 32 dollars! At least my dogs liked the wet dough."

"Its a pizza joint and a damn good one. Much better than the big box version and appropriately priced. If you have the extra couple dollars its worth it. I couldn't tell ya if it was NY style or not as I've never been there, but its the best pizza in Ocala in my opinion. Genuinely hand tossed and prepared pizza. I love to watch Johnny work."

"Called ahead but still had to wait an additional half hour so not ideal for a quick lunch hour. The Buffalo chicken pizza was flavorful bur depending on the slice you might not have much chicken. The antipasto salad was fresh and the house dressing was good."
